I'll be in Starkville cheering on the Tigers. It's mostly because I haven't been to The Dude and my buddy who graduated from State invited me.

I like this lineup a lot. Let the young baws get some work the rest of the way. Throw them into the fire at one of the toughest places to play in college baseball.
I'm excited to watch them, especially in this environment. This season hasn't gone as we all hoped, but there's still a lot to look forward to in watching this team. Mainly to see how these freshmen look and develop over the next month. Also, even though it's been tough to watch lately, having LSU on is still better than not having any LSU baseball to watch.
I hope Jay coaches this series like he did against Kentucky, which I wish he did the last few series. Make it a fight.

Knowing Jay's history with weather I'd say it's pretty safe to assume this is due to a potential delay.

He's a damn good pitcher, as the ERA shows. Likely to be selected top half of the first round next year, as he's just a sophomore this year. It's going to be tough to get anything going against him. If we get runners on and in scoring position, we have to make it count which is one thing we've struggled with all year. I certainly don't envy the freshmen in the lineup today.
I'm guessing Jay is probably praying for that rain to hurry up and come through around the 3rd inning.

The rain is really slow moving. Not supposed to rain in Starkville til about 8. Maybe Jay just pitching backwards figuring that gives him the best way to steal the series. Sacrifice today and win Saturday and Sunday
