Past 2 years remind me of the 98/99 Football seasons... only lacking the talent those did so maybe I am thinking of the Hallman days

That's the thing, people keep saying wait until next year when we add Hamilton and O'bryant but we will still be unathletic and not incredibly skilled all over the floor compared to the majority of the conference.

With Trent I give him leeway as I thought LSU would win 5 games in the SEC this season. They are at 2 right now but they could still win 5.... I was not expecting anything close to .500 either.

I don't get the Brady comparisons, he took over a team on probation and still wound up with a 72% winning record..

I wasn't a Brady fan, but I would pay him double what we are payiing TJ.
i quit reading right there. Brady can't even be successful at fricking arkansas st yet you would pay him double? brilliant

Man it sure makes you feel better that the expectations for this team were low. That just means people knew we would suck ahead of time.

I am sorry you were foolish and believed the team would be any good.

should we just spend 3-4 million and grab a callipari (sp) type coach? they bring recruits with them
Posted on 1/30/11 at 5:00 pm to GeauxTigersGo
a lot of you compare the first 3-4 years of Brady, Dale and TJ
How many of you actually saw those teams as opposed to just commenting based on reading stats?

Fire away. You're missing the point each time.

LSU won 2 SEC games last year; the Tigers have matched that total already, and there are 10 games left. Obviously the team has improved (just not enough to impress you
Once again, shitty post by someone who should stfu.

Alot of them don't wanna even give Johnson 4 years. But, they probably don't know what we did the first 4 or 5 seasons under both Brady and Daddy Dale

Wow. Already equalled a 2-14 mark. How does he do it ? Amazing. Sign this guy up for life. I'm sure every school looking for a coach will be beating down Johnson's door in March.

coaches shouldn't need 4 years to win. not in basketball
Dean Smith and Coach K each needed six. First two who came to mind.
I thought you were smarter than this.

You don't want everyone on staff from the same coaching tree. There's no diversity. Everyone has the same background in game planning and organizing practice.

Anyone who thought the team would be any good this year is dumb. There were a decent amount of people who thought this would be a tournament team.

I'd rather have Brady than Trent Johnson, FWIW.
