I wasn't a Brady fan, but I would pay him double what we are payiing TJ. At least we were somewhat talented under Brady. I have never seen LSU perform this badly. There is no way TJ is a quality coach, and if you sunshine pumpers try and defend him, it is like Washington or Notre Dame fans attempting to defend Tyrone Willingham.

Yea I said it, Trent Johnson is the Tyrone Willingham of College Basketball. Gee Whiz... and they both coached at Stanford before they took over a legitimate D1 program and sunk it like a battleship in WWII.

And don't give me the "looking for 3 to 4 year starters and no 1 and doners" bullshite. Trent is garbage, this team is garbage, and we need to hit the restart button once again. None of the players on this team could play on 70% of the D1 basketball programs in America. That is a sad fact for LSU basketball.

I am sorry, but our other two coaches, regardless of their shortcomings, have set the bar pretty high. Therefore, I hold Trent to the same level of excellence. He has not met expectations; hell he hasn't even come within ear shot of expectations. And I dare anyone to tell me that I am wrong.

Please, someone tell me I am a dumbass. Tell me I am not an LSU fan. Tell me that I don't know shite about basketball. Tell me I don't know shite about the "process". Tell me to "wait another year". Tell me TJ is dealing with "young players".

It is all bullshite. TJ is a bad coach. This team has bad fundamentals. They play horrible basketball. They may "try really hard". But their best isn't good enough.

We Are LSU. We may not be Indiana, or Kentucky, or UCLA, or UNC, or Duke. But we have always had a solid Basketball team that could give most any team a run for their money in any game. Hell I even remember the bad years when we would still beat #1 Arizona like it was easy and Lute Olsen would be furious. Now I wouldn't put this team up against a Lute Olsen bench.

Whose expectations? No one expected LSU to win 20 games his first season and yet he did, that is exceeding... Last year many on this board said we were a fringe team and would have a losing record hey guess what we had a losing record. This year again people did not expect LSU to challenge in the SEC or make the tournament...

Looks to me he is actually meeting the expectations as I believe LSU was picked last in the West this past season. Maybe it is you who should lower your expectations, I would think John Brady would have taught you that.... I mean only 3 winning seasons in the SEC over a 11 seasons and only 4 NCAA berths in 11 seasons. Guess what Trent has 1 winning season and 1 NCAA berth in 3 seasons so he is ahead of John Brady at this point.

Did Johnson have the Lopez twins on his teams at Stanford? He didn't even have to recruit those guys...they were coming to Stanford regardless of who was coach.

So I wonder if he's a coach whose resume was buoyed by a handful of talented players, rather than his ability to mold or coach players.

John Brady - 49-39

In 1997, Brady replaced the legendary Dale Brown as head coach at LSU. When Brady arrived, the program was under probation and stinging from a recruiting scandal. Brady's first two years were rough.

Trent Johnson - 48-39

What is Johnson's excuse? Not enough talent in Louisiana?

Trent is actually right on par with John, b/c Brady had a Sweet 16 team his 3rd year at LSU. That was after dealing with probation and all the bullshite.

Trent had a second round out his first year at LSU, and since then has done JACK shite.

So i would put John Brady above him at this point (measuring both first 3 years against each other).

Please someone defend Trent Johnson to me, tell me what he is trying to accomplish here. I want to know, I want to understand. I just can't. All i see is a team that has progressively, year after year, preformed worse and worse year after year.

I know Brady wasn't Roy Williams or John calipari, but he at least put a competitive team on the floor most nights. I cannot say the same for Trent Johnson. Hell, at this point, I think Baylor or UConn girls could beat our Men's BBall team (because we have a horrible shooting percentage)

Brady was also helped by Collis Temple. JB didn't recruit all those players here, Collis Sr. and Butch did. Brady was a joke. The final four had more talent than he knew what to do with.

If TJ is a good coach why is the team getting worse?

I refuse to watch this crap. I see ZERO emotion on this team. I would rather a ra-ra guy than a bland coach that just crosses his arms and looks down.

Actually it has... if people honestly thought this team was going to be good coming into the season they are fooling themselves. There is a reason many predicted LSU to be under .500 and finish last in the West.... They just are not very good
