Doesn't matter much (at all?). But, seems everything is indicating at a better LSU than what they initially thought?

No. Started at 7. Then reduced to 6.5 until a couple of hours ago.

Money line is down to 175 on my book. But the spread has gone from 5.5 to 6.5.

My book had LSU +16 in the preseason. We’ve moved 10 pts on the still undefeated tide since then. We’re America’s team come Saturday

I expect the sharps to be on Alabama come game time. The value in terms of wagering is not with LSU anymore since the line crossed a critical number (7).
