All things considered, not bad.

Still in it. Can’t ask for much more.

Lost in all this, I believe we ended the half on the worst looking 7-0 run ever. So that’s a positive, sort of

First post tonight and haven’t been reading so I’m sure it’s been covered…

But they went over 6 minutes scoreless to end the half, only have 24 points, are shooting 35%, and we are still lucky as hell to only be down 5. That should tell you how awful our offense is. If it doesn’t though, I’ll provide you with a few takeaways here:

1. LSU has 4 steals and 0 points off of them.

2. LSU has 3 assists (all by Pinson) which means there is dang near no ball movement or player movement at all and just playing glorified pickup 1v1 games everywhere.

3. 2/12 from 3 and nearly all have been good shot selection, wide open shots off dribble drive…we are just a team of terrible shooters.

4. 25% from the field. Take away all the 3’s, and we’d still only be 33% from inside.

We need to get out in transition and start seeing the ball go through the hoop. ISU’s transition D has been tough so far and they are protecting the ball pretty good.

This might be the one game where you sit back and let the other team try to shoot.

Idk what his 3pt% is on the season, but it’s probably at least 10pts higher from the corner and he’s missed 3 or 4 from there.

What this team needs is to understand how to run a motion offense in the 1/2 court. They don’t set screens in the block, they don’t feed it down low, there is no off ball movement, no back door cuts.

They simply don’t play basic basketball well at all.

We undoubtedly have more talent than them and cannot move the ball in their normal defense. Taking any open look we get isn't the worst idea. Hard to shoot worse than 25.9%

Well, that’s not going to happen in the locker room at half, so we’ll need some other ideas.

They’re completely collapsing in the paint and highly active. If we can’t hit a 3 or finish on a TO, it’s not looking good.

We’re also just down 5 at half though. Just quit the silly TOs, finish at the rim better and drain a couple 3s.

Lol, so embarrassing.

Hopefully these players have any pride whatsoever.

I’m choosing to believe the offense will do better in the 2nd half because it can’t do worse and we win by 10
