You have to bet $165 to win $100.

If a team has a minus by their name they are the favorite. -165 means you have to bet (or lay) 165 to win 100 (straight up. No runs, no points). You would get back your $165 bet plus the $100 you won.

If one team is -165 the other team (the underdog) would probably by something like +145. This mean if you wanted to bet on the underdog you could bet $100 to win $145 (i.e. you would get back your $100 bet plus your $145 winnings).

You don't have to bet the exact amount of the odds (in this example $165 or $100). You could bet any amount and the payout would simply be the appropriate percentage (i.e. if you bet $16.50 on LSU you would win $10 or if you bet $16,500 you would in $10,000). You could also bet $350 on LSU like one of the posters above and win $212.12.

a hot LSU team at home for a super regional against an inferior opponent who squeaked into the tournament? -185 seems a bit low to me for a 3 game series

The way they beat Georgia pretty convincingly gives me pause for concern. I do think LSU finds a way to win this series but I do not expect it to be easy.

Interdasting.

2-1-2-1-2-1-2.... are the body blow combinations LSU is going to be delivering to FSU this weekend.

Well I know who didn't watch them play Georgia.

The line is for game 1 only, and I think it's about right. If FSU throws Van Eyk and he throws well, it will be a really tough game for LSU to win. FSU mauled UGA's pitching, too. I still favor LSU, simply because the law of averages say FSU will come down to earth some. Although inconsistent, LSU has been more consistent than FSU this season and has equal or higher upside.
