Don't you think it is strange that Oklahoma (2-1, beat nobody worth anything and lost to a team ranked 20th or 21st) is ranked 8th and well ahead of Iowa (4-0, beat Penn St.)?

I think this thread is about 4 weeks too late. The reason were #4 is beacuase our ranking was inflated to begin the season. We finished unranked last year, then jumped in the top 15...no one's going to drop an elite program that wins games, no matter how ugly.
Just enjoy it. Someone's going to have a hell of a season and get screwed out of the NC game, just be glad that it won't be us. We win out, we're in it. It's all on us.

the fact of the matter is that he AP poll is a joke. I heard Herbstreet say that last week he voted Miami #5. To see that USC, Oklahoma, and Ohio St. have moved up so high after being beat by really much lesser opponents , simply reflects the bigoted bias of the sports media. Why are people stupid enough to believe that a journalism degree makes one an expert on anything. As far as LSU, we are definitely over-rated but will fall greatly after our first loss. Ole Miss from 4th to 21 based on an SEC loss on the road. If you could buy those who vote in the AP Poll for what they are worth and sell them for what they think they are worth, one could retire.

No way we should be ranked that high. We haven't run the ball successfully yet against UW, Vandy, ULL or MSU. And we don't stop the run consistently, give up big plays and can not get off the field on third and long.

We were ranked #4 last year after week 4. Then we played Florida (#11). We all know how that went.
