Made it entirely too interesting late but any comeback from 4 down is good.

I wish I had the chance to watch or listen to it. Probably wouldn't have been able to catch the end with WBB,baseball, and gym all tonight.

When they get to SEC play, its basically going to be the Berzon and Kilponen show

I’m sure Beth has Berzon ahead of Chaffin. She’s throwing Chaffin to see if she can get it together. If she can this will be a fairly deep staff.

Second really bad start for Chaffin in a row now. This loss would have hurt. Can’t screw around much, LSU desperately needs to host regionals at the very least

Seems like the play of the game ever game is Pleasants hitting a HR

Chaffin pitched brilliantly against Bama as a true Frontman, it’s there she just has to avoid the mistakes she inevitably steps into.

Here is the offensive recap for this game

LSU offense vs. LMU
7-26 .269 avg
4 walks 3 strikeouts
5-15 hitting .333 with runners on base (9 LOB)
4-9 hitting .444 with runners in scoring position
1-7 hitting .143 with 2 outs
1-2 runners on 3 less than 2 outs
1-3 with the bases loaded

A clutch hit by Briggs with the bases loaded was the difference in this one.

I would say Briggs is one of the very best players in division one softball

Most of those hits came off a pitcher who is 2-8 for the season. Not sure why the LMU coach kept her in there for so long.

She had better numbers on the year than the starter of the game. Her strikeout numbers were legit like 68 Ks in 48 innings.
