At full capacity in a close game situation, I'd rate Williams-Brice ahead of both Bryant-Denny and Neyland.

Isn't Memorial Stadium commonly referred to as Death Valley? That's what the announcers always call when I watch a game.

Autzen lived up to its reputation as the loudest statium in America. According to The Register-Guard, "a sound-level reading of 127.2 decibels — louder than a jet plane at takeoff [was recorded] during No. 5 Oregon’s monumental win over No. 9 USC."
Just goes to show you how insulated fanbases are, if they can make that statement a couple of weeks after LSU posted a crowd noise at least 50% louder than theirs...too lazy to do the math on it.

Bryant Denny is never that loud because they're too caught up in shaking those damn pom poms. It's the gayiest thing.
Both Bama and Auburn do the gay pom pom thing. It is quite amusing to watch grown men see who can shake their pom pom the hardest while barely a peep comes out of their mouths. It has got to be the gayest thing in college football.

Wikipedia doesn't have 80k for LSU.
All you had to do was affirm what other posters were saying and explain it is talking about Clemson.

The same applies for Tiger Stadium.

Autzen is known for its crowd noise. On October 27, 2007, during a 24-17 defeat of the USC Trojans, a record crowd of 59,277 fans was recorded at 127.2 decibels. A similarly-loud 31-27 upset of third-ranked Michigan in 2003 prompted a Michigan Daily columnist to write[5]
“ Autzen's 59,000 strong make the Big House sound like a pathetic whimper. It's louder than ... The Swamp at Florida, The Shoe in Columbus, and Death Valley at Louisiana State. Autzen Stadium is where great teams go to die. ”
Michigan coach Lloyd Carr later said that Autzen Stadium was the loudest stadium he'd ever been in.[6]
In 2006, a Sporting News columnist named Autzen the most intimidating college football stadium in the nation.[7]
Lee Corso of ESPN College Gameday frequently says that; "Per person Autzen Stadium is the loudest stadium that I have ever been in my entire life!"

Clemson claims 131.4 for the VaTech game last year.
Who the frick really knows...
I would sure like to see a game at LSU or Clemson though...sound like awesome venues...

Claim it all they want, that is bullshite.
That level of sound would cause physical pain, which would kinda kill off the celebratory shouting.
And I'll admit that Autzen is awesome for having that crowd noise with the fewer people. But when you say loudest, there is no per capita adjustment.

Totally agree...I couldn't stand it any louder at Autzen; it's already a headache and wouldn't be any fun if it were louder. For its size the Stadium is an anomaly because it's built into the ground and for some reason due to physics the sound doesn't escape.
Hopefully one day I can make it down to Baton Rouge for gameday...that would be
Life is too short to not experience as many stadiums as possible.

Loudest Stadium LSU/Bama/Clemson/Oregon???
I only clicked on the Clemson, Oregon and LSU links; however, the first problem I noticed with these is that you are not making accurate comparisons. The Oregon video appears to be filmed from a camera about 30 rows from the field. The Clemson video actually has some footage from field level. The LSU video is shot from the upper deck. Yea, that's where all the noise is....THE UPPER DECK.

TS and the Swamp then everyone else. I have to admit however, that at the LSU-UF game back in October when the USuCk score was announced, that became the loudest stadium I have ever been to. It was an insane asylum!
