There isn’t a person that has ever posted on here that will be the kind of human being Lou Holtz has been. It astounds me how disrespectful people are to living legends these days. Internet super heros abound.

And just exactly what kind of human has he been for him to be a living legend in your mind? He’s an obnoxious, doddering, drooling, senile, old, washed up football coach. Wouldn’t go out of my way to be rude to him but wouldn’t give him the time of day if we were sitting next to each other on an airplane either.

I don't know if it would go that far. An old boss of mine once told me that he was the keynote speaker at a function he attended and that it was a damn good speech. Dude probably has a wealth of knowledge, and I would consider myself lucky to be able to get some of it.
