It truly is amazing the difference that can be made when you replace Lou Tepper with Nick Saban. Those teams were not hurting for talent.

The comparator, for many reasons, is Satan and the Gumps. Do you not see that?

Just put a big Crimson "A" by your name.
You're a special kind of stupid aren't you?
Day before the big game and you riding Sabans nuts. Just pathetic.

no just stating facts that he was not the best coach in LSU history. Not a big deal, maybe you long to hold les cock in your hands

How by stating the obvious? I said Saban was a better coach than LES. That is not even opinion. Its fact. Nothing more, nothing less. I hate Bama with every bone in my body but i have no problem being objective, maybe you should try it.

Saban is presently a better coach that Les. Saban was not a better coach that Les presently. This should be obvious.

I disagree, Saban built a powerhouse. I dont think he could have done it here. He may have, but I dont think so

Saban's 3rd year at LSU was his worst record while here, and his 5th year at LSU was only slightly better than his first.
Meaning either the talent was pretty good when he got here or as his teams got more talented he got worse at coaching.

While I agree that it's mostly idiots spewing idiocy, there have been plenty of times where Miles makes ya scratch your head. Ole Miss game comes to mind. Throwing to Byrd instead of the FG comes to mind.

but of course I still love the man and hope he retires at LSU

I was ready to help Les pack after 2009 Ole Miss. Rash emotions are bad.

1 win difference and lets be real, saban was on the way to Miami while still coaching LSU. That was part of that equation.

He took a team with a winning percentage of .366, raised said team to a winning percentage of .571 during his time there, and laid the foundation which allowed it to build into a program with a winning percentage of .676.

All while being a second-tier program in the state.

1 - one of those 2000 losses was to UAB, which I think everyone can agree, particularly because of the results of the rest of the season, was not a result of LSU's lack of talent.
2 - I'd consider being unable to do your job because you don't want to be there as a "con" when deciding how good a coach is

So yea, if we had had a different version of Saban than the one we actually had, one who was fully dedicated to being the coach at LSU, that hypothetical coach might have been the greatest coach in LSU history. The version we actually had one eye towards the NFL the whole time and it showed in his performance as a coach and negatively impacted recruiting.
