I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that Miles could be a candidate for ND. He has a solid background,no skeletons in his closet, he is a proven recruiter and ND has a nationwide recruiting base, he could win 10-11 games every year with their schedule, and could be had for less than Urban Meyer.

Rodriquez is a better fit for LSU than Michigan. Still, if Miles went to coach his alma mater, there should be a sizable list of legitimate replacements.
And although I criticize Miles a great deal, I do not think he has done anything that merits being fired. This is about if he took another job. That said, Gary Crowton without a doubt needs to be fired at the end of this season.

You people make me sick. Are we gonna do this after every loss? Jesus Christ!

I have a lot of disagreements with Miles but also look at next year and see a team that could be preseason top 3 and have a serious shot at MNC. If it does play out with Miles going to Michigan I think that seriously hampers next years teams shot. Just a thought.

We lose tons of players next year.

Regarless, these articles are there for public consumption. There is a real chance that RR will be fired. Last time UM was seeking a coach, LES was a candidate. It's only natural to assume that he would be again.
So, get sick all you want but the possibility is real and it is worthy of discussion.
Further, there are a lot of great coaches available right now and at 4 large LSU could definitely snag one.

who?
scott, k.dub, lafell, black on offense?
alem, k. sheperd, C.Jones-likely, on def.?
all of those guys have replacements on this team with lots of promise plus the D gets a second year under Chavis and J.J will be much more experienced.
Florida loses a lot so we should win that game and the only should lose game would be Bama.
11-1 in the regular is not a stretch.

Problem is MNC goes through SECCG and SECCG is going through Tuscaloosa according to your claim.

If we get rid of Crowton, perhaps. I see us actually not as good team wise next season on paper. Of course, football isn't played on paper.

That wasn't intended to the possibility of the topic, it was intended for the idiots on here saying "please let it happen".

That is not an uncommon opinion around here. Tune into 1210 AM between 9 and 3.

dizztiger, im not tryng to say those guys are terrible, im just saying that we have guys just as talented on the roster. Yes they will need to develop.
Next year, if you look at our schedule and then you look at the talent going back, the only game that we will not be favored to win going in will be Bama. Im telling you now that it is a legit national title shot season.

I'll accept your premise that LSU and Bama will be best teams in west next year. But if you can't beat Bama as you are suggesting we may not, then there is no SECCG and no MNC.

I hope you are right, trust me.
I just see replacing a 4 year starter at LT along with Jo Jo and possibly CJ as huge holes. Especially with our lack of continuity on offense WITH those guys. Defense I worry less about, but some concerns.

I went to grad school at UM and was last there for the Penn State game and everyone I talked to wants to hire Miles...badly.
