I dont understand the excitement for one playing over the other. Why would you not want Jai Eugene to succeed? If Loston is the best then he should play, but what has Loston done in yours eyes to be so excited about?

It's less about Loston and more about Jai. I think Jai is a more than servicable CB, but he is way out of position at Safety. He has decent cover skills, but lacks the height and tackle ability found in most safeties.

I would bet that Jai starts, he has earned that privilege.
But he will share time with with Loston, and Loston may take over the starting position around mid-season but will still share time with Eugene.

Actually he was asked about who would start opposite to Taylor and started talking about how Jai knew the system and was a vocal leader, but then said something about Reid and Loston being very good players who will get playing time.
