Looks like Evan Siary is starting according to State 247 board.Sophomore RHP. He has been doing middle relief so far this season. Their Friday guy pitched 100 pitches in 6 innings last week and took himself out with arm soreness. Could be just trying to get him another day off.

Nate Dohm has gone on Fridays this year for State and been solid. Left his start last weekend, and he will not go against LSU. tough break for the Bulldogs.

That or maybe they are prepared for weather to interrupt the game and don’t want to burn him

It's going to keep happening if Holman keeps up his dominance in SEC play just like teams did with Skenes last year.

The mlb made a rule when Pat Venditte came up. TLDR- the batter has the advantage...

the pitcher has to declare which way they are throwing, and then the pitcher & batter can each switch once during the AB

quote:

The new rules regarding ambidextrous pitchers are as follows:

The pitcher must visually indicate to the umpire, batter and runner(s) which way he will begin pitching to the batter. Engaging the rubber with the glove on a particular hand is considered a definitive commitment to which arm he will throw with. The batter will then choose which side of the plate he will bat from.
The pitcher must throw one pitch to the batter before any "switch" by either player is allowed.
After one pitch is thrown, the pitcher and batter may each change positions one time per at-bat. For example, if the pitcher changes from right-handed to left-handed and the batter then changes batter's boxes, each player must remain that way for the duration of that at-bat (unless the offensive team substitutes a pinch hitter, and then each player may again "switch" one time).
Any switch (by either the pitcher or the batter) must be clearly indicated to the umpire.

But is there a similar college baseball rule?

Good question. Probably something an MSU fan would know seeing as JC pitched last year

Because he could start pitch 2 innings and get rain and not pitch the rest of the weekend. Hold till Saturday and your best pitcher will pitch regular with no chance of rain.

Teams can’t avoid LSU’s pitching staff this season. Last season you would avoid Skenes because Floyd was very inconsistent (during the regular season) and LSU didn’t even have a Sunday guy.

This season if you throw your ace on Saturday you’re just moving him to go against Jump who is just as tough as Holman. And LSU has a ton of quality arms to throw on Sunday.

I've heard of lemon and orange but never jurran jello. Sounds exotic.

Or he has an arm issue and isn’t starting at all.
