With the abysmal batting averages and approach to hitting, especially with RISP, why do the batters consistently look to the dugout after pitches? There are base coaches to give signs for hit and run, bunts, etc., so why the constant and irritating step out and look to the dugout? Whatever, it certainly isn’t producing any positive results.

Except our head coach in the dugout has given signals since the day he arrived.

There’s a lot of actual problems with the team to spend time worrying about outside of this.

In case you're not trolling, which I hope you are...Jay gives the signs from the dugout, not the 3rd base coach.

Yeah, but everybody thinks they are a baseball savant and can pick apart the nuances of the game to see what the problem is.

my favorite part has definitely been people picking various things that we did last year and almost every year and then deciding that they don’t work so we should stop doing them.

need another “When did Jay start Magic Moment” thread

I assume they're being given signals from CJJ.

That said, for a batter on the clock to have to stop each pitch, look back over their shoulder, step back in, and focus is not helpful.

Same reason for 100 years they looked at 3rd base. Looking for a sighn from coach.
