Yeah, not the best analogy but ita one that fits his arguement. Such is life on the rant.

Maybe Mike Davis is the better analogy?

I must admit that I was among those who were initially disappointed in the hire, thinking LSU did not make a concerted effort to get a bigger name coach.
However, the team has shown improvement and been pretty competitive, for example, at Kentucky. And his recruiting early on has been very impressive. So I think the basketball program is in good shape and on the way forward.

Yeah but those similar posys came out when we were winless in sec play. Winning cures all.

While it's way too early to make a substantive case one way or the other for the long haul, we can judge on what's been done so far and while I dont think it's been as flawless as some, I think we have to give Johnny more of a thumbs up than down for sure.
Again, he'll have plenty of time to prove himself. He hasn't yet....that verdict is years away.
Let's keep the ball rolling in the right direction today.

Johnny is a solid hire and a good coach with LSU ties. He will recruit well and in time bring the Tigers back to the top. Welcome home Johnny

Wasn't trying to make the point that Johnny Jones was similar to Chizik, just that our opinion of these guys ebbs and flows.
