I’m more worried about replacing Waters, I’m afraid he’s leaving also

Mays & Smart will be an excellent backcourt

Smart will take a huge step forward just as Waters did this year

I hope so. He's pressing and seems to have regressed the past 5 or 6 games.

The talent and effort are there. Like others have said, he just needs to play smart, no pun intended.

Wade answered this question on his show two weeks back. He said not to worry about recruiting, he’s got some good ones coming and now that we’re winning more want to come, his words. We’re on a 6-9, 230lb 5* kid from Alabama, Trendon Watford and are close to signing a JUCO transfer Kahdim Sy 6-10, 240lbs out of Florida who originally went to Va. Tech then JUCO, those are the two were highest on and we also have a chance at Charles Coleman 7-0, 225lbs 3* and Raymond Hawkins 6-9, is 225lbs 3*. Don’t forget last season we signed Days and Emmitt in April so don’t be nervous about not having everyone signed yet, Wade will get it done.

You serious? Smart pretty much lead the team on the comeback against Arkansas until Waters threw it away.

We will be fine. I expect others to step up. Days is going to be an offensive machine very very soon. He can stroke it.

I’m hoping Emmitt stays. He really should stay but I got a feeling he is leaning towards leaving. But if Naz, Waters, Mays, Bigby-Williams are all gone then he can stay and improve his draft stock. Marlon Taylor is someone I can see having a huge leap (pun intended) next year. I think Emmitt, Smart and Taylor stay though.

Smart, Emmitt, Days, Taylor, plus the new guys can be a great core especially if we land Warford and the center reclassified. I don’t know anything about the redshirt Cooper. Also Daryl Edwards may get a medical redshirt, right? He will help with experience if nothing else.

I feel like I’m missing some players. With that said, I’m only interested in this year’s team at the moment and I’m gonna enjoy this fun team flirt with the Final Four.

ETA: I was thinking Mays was a senior. That will be a huge piece next year.

Gonna be hard to find that kind of length and production.

Courtese Cooper is already on the team. But IMO LSU needs to add more big men and not just replace these 2. Khadim Sy is a juco guy that would give LSU a legit low post scorer. LINK Plus HS Sr. Trendon Watford. LINK Watford has the ability to play facing the basket or with his back to it and is a very good passer.
