Boy the events over the last few days have been instructive
The Les Miles LETS FIRE HIM folks. I see Mr Kiffein and he was the the 4th choice of USC.
We see today that TENN got denied by a 3 million a year contract by a asst Coach at Texas : and it appears the Coach of The Air Force Academy said no. MY GOD A COACH OF A SERVICE ACADEMY SAYING NO TO THE SEC
One thing that this has showed us. The Les Miles haters assure us that that we can get the best Coach to replace Miles. Yet in two major programs we have not seen that to be true.
But thats ok because the Les Miles haters will turn on the new Coach and because the nega tigers who do so many posts we will forget to call them on it.

Our current coach does not have the BASIC requirements for the head coaching postion.
And what would that be? How did you arrive at that? How did you arrive at the decision that Miles doesn't have that? What is in your resume that gives validity to this drivel? Natty Light?

i can 100% say that les miles was never considered for the tenn job.
How can you prove this? You have contacts inside the UT athletic departemt discussions?
Can you say with the same degree of certainty that Saban was? Brown? Spurrier? Meyer? Beamer? Paterno? del Rio?
You can't. You have nothing but smoke.

There is so much SUCK in this post, but I'll start with this:
A lot of the coaches at the service academies aren't in it to win MNC's. They enjoy the atmosphere and coaching highly motivated and disciplined young men. IOW, the service academies are to college football what college football is to the NFL. A lot less drama.

Would someone please compare the win/lose record of Dooley and Miles?

Would somebody tell me when Les Miles won a game against a team of equal or better talent due to his coaching? If Miles is such a good coach, explain 8-8 in the SEC, worse against the top 25 and squeaking by against far inferior talent? A good coach can take a team of lesser talent and beat a better team. A good coach can take a lot of talent and squash a lesser team.

One good thing about having Miles as coach - we don't have to worry about him leaving for another job - nobody wants him!!!

Looks like your unaware that Miles had a coaching career prior to the last couple years.

I'm not reading this whole thread. You've said all you need to say. You're an idiot.
And you're from Homer. If you willingly live in that shiteburger town, you have no room to make fun of anybody about anything.
Homer. Hmm, no wonder you can't spell.

Hey just being realistic here. COACHING CHANGES SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH CAUTION and not with the attiude of bold and exciting experimentation. Espcially since it appears there is a good chance these fantasy coaches that everyone talks that would replace Miles might not come a calling.
But hey maybe next year we can take a chance with Coach Dooley with Louisiana TECH. I like Dooley. I would like him to have a substantial winning season before LSU takes him but heck LETS THROW THE DICE

Could be true.I would like to know his true reasons. Maybe somebody will ask.

OK I am idiot and I am from HOMER. Feel better? The fact is the events of the last few days have showed us that as too two top programs they were not exactly getting the guys they wanted. Why would LSU be different? From what I read on here it is fire Miles open up the checkbook and they will all come rushing to LSU.
Hey maybe so. But the last few days should at least maybe just maybe make some people cautious.
I understand hating the Coach and critcizing the Coach is all part of the Soap Opera fun. It is fun because in most cases folks can change their viewpoints on a dime. WHICH IS A EPIDEMIC ON HERE
Miles Needs to Get the Handcuffs off Crowton to CROWTON SUCKS
Pelini is awesome to LEt me Pack his bags to Nebraska.
Chavis is the best Hire and then by the first game get Third and Chavis out of here.
So I admit I find most of the people that have this wild changing viewpoints based on often emotion also are a big part of the FIRE MILES contigent.
Thats fine. I just don't pay a lot of attention to that part of the bi polar fan base until it appears they might cause some damage because they slam the sports talk radio shows with their astroturfing.
Still I hope these events give some reality or at least make people be a tad more prudent in their demands

No reason for us to change.
Those coaches that turned Tenn. and USC down would never turn us down. It doesn't matter because everyone knows that Saban is going to come back just as soon as we pick up the phone and give him a ring.
And just in case you couldn't tell, I am being sarcastic. I feel that I have to spell it out for you. You know, Homer and all.

Your thinking is so shallow and off-base that I will not bother replying with the real synoptic viewpoint

Southern Cal is staring at a chance at probation.
Tennessee is in the same situation.
Both these situations, coaches leaving, were a shock to all concerned.
If LSU ever decides to get rid of Miles they should have some candidates selected by mid season, and have a contract in hand when the decison is finalized.
HC are in the final phase of wrapping up their recruiting classes and getting ready for Spring practice. They are not thinking about changing jobs unless is is a really big promotion.

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm looking at the here and now and where the program is currently. I guess I should just be happy with the past and embrace mediocrity.

Bayou.........You are Not going to make all these haters understand that there is not a line 100 deep waiting for the LSU job

Yeah, who would even consider 4 million, a top tier program, top of the line facilities and a recruiting base that recruits itself. Don't be a tool.

When has LSU ever hired a big name football coach?
We certainly didn't 5 years ago.
