If you think his diatribe about the new right-field scoreboard was ballistic...

Hell, he had me wanting to hate it.

I got there Friday and was like....'pretty cool'. The folding chairs here may be too much for him to overcome.

Yeah i liked the new scoreboard. I went Friday night and the planet fitness ad was not lit up. Hopefully they keep it that way.

My biggest issue with the new scoreboard is across the top if reads innings, balls, strikes, outs. But the headers are small.

So when i glance up i would sometimes thing the count was 3-2 when really it was just the 3rd inning, and there were 2 balls.

Obviously once we got to the 4th inning this was no longer an issue. Small gripe i know. Overall it's a great addition.

It's curious that their announcement materials omit the cost. Hmmmm....

I was in the beer line for a while, then hypothermic for the rest, I am a little fuzzy. It just seemed handy.

This is embarrassing. Hopefully Woodward squashes this. Looks really low rent.

You don't think he signed off or even perhaps came up with the idea?

How is someone supposed to sit in a relaxed setting with friends in that “VIP area” when dozens of standing room only fans will be hanging right next to you on the rail and ropes?

I am sure he did, but I cant imagine he thought four folders in a semi circle was the way to go.

They could've easily done a more conventional 'loge' in the offseason for just a few thousand each area. This is after my 3 minutes of research of a loge.

Yeah, if your "home" is a double-wide...

It's not really going to be a relaxed atmosphere with 40 SRO's standing right behind you

Yeah, I am cheap and I don't even have folders like those. I do have some of those folding rocking chairs with hydraulics for overflow.

Texas had something weird like this down next to the third base dugout where we were sitting last year. Just a couple high chairs/tables in a sectioned off area.

Or maybe do something prior to the season starting? Like a real renovation.

This looks like something that was thought of on a Tuesday at lunch.

I will buy these only if I get a security guard and a purple and gold plush velvet rope and a wristband to get drunk with my baws

I don’t have 3 other friends to even share this with. Once hcb died, I’m down to 1.

I think some MLB parks have something like this.
Minor league parks, too. A few years ago when LSU played Notre Dame in South Bend I went to see the Chi Cubs A ball park there.

It has a neat little loge area down the right-field foul line just beyond the outfield fence. It has fixed high tables and bar stools to sit on that can accommodate 8 people or 6 persons from Louisiana...
