Good points... I did not even really notice that during the game. I just was never as down on the offense as the broadcasters were when we only had like 28 yards total offense. It was probably because there was no "chinese fire-drill" feeling like the last couple of years.

Meh. By far, the biggest difference

but if Crowton didn't call the Cotton, did he also not call Ole Miss?
2 different styles of offense in those 2 games.

not really. run the ball (both with the "pound em" and the option) and take some shots with play action.

Also refreshing to see Lee not running the read option, as he did last season. We know he isn't a threat to keep the ball, and rightfully so.
In fact, I don't recall anything offensively that didn't make sense.

If it hasn't been mentioned already, I was happy to see both backs get about an equal amount of carries.
I was worried we were going to be dealing with the Miles hates Michael Ford thing on the rant all year

Both backs looked solid to me. I think you're eventually going to see them break longer runs and really blow games wide open on offense.

just playing devil's advocate, but if Crowton didn't call the Cotton, did he also not call Ole Miss?
He called Ole Miss.
You can watch those two games and easily see a difference in play calling and philosophy.

I know what you were commenting and don't give it much credence.

Thanks for playing the race card, Jesse.
It appears you position and statement is OKay. But my response was deemed unreadable. So I'll try this one.
You are welcome David.

Yep. At times watching the 2010 offense was like listening to a Barack Obama speech. Downright painful to endure.
My response was to this post which has nothing to do with LSU football.
quote:
Hey, you didn't deny it, so we all now know where you stand. I can safely ignore your posts now. Thanks.
I can't speak for all but I know where you stand as well. My denial of your lies is useless. And it is fine that you ignore my posts.
You guys are a joke. You say nothing when blantant racist statements are made on this board. But let someone challenge them and you start the name calling, race card and race baiting diatribe. It is so predictable.
By the way, you did not deny either. So based on your position does that mean you are, in fact, a GW?

We are criticizing the play of Jordan Jefferson because it was bad. Not because he's black.
You are throwing out the race card, so I called you Jesse. You are calling me.... first, "Grand Wizard", and now David Duke.

How mantntimes a day do you look in the mirror and try to convince yourself you don't suck?

I wish they would ban everyone that brings up race, therefore since I just brought it up... ban me!

Back on topic a bit. The offense was run totally different than last year. Since Miles calls all the plays, does anyone know why he changed his play calling?

JJ is vilified.
how many games last year did JJ have worse stats than Lee did against the #3 oregon Ducks?
quote:
Or that Lee can progress through his reads and JJ can't.
thats pretty much what happens
quote:
that Lee helped the running game despite the fact there were 8 in the box most of the game.
When was the last game where 2 of our running backs went for 100 yards?
quote:
And JJ hurts the running game because they stack the box because of his inability to pass.
Opposing teams do this.
quote:
And I am quite certain you would feel Barack Obama, a Harvard educated lawyer, speech would be stupid.
Yes, Obama's speeches are usually nothing but platitudes and empty rhetoric...stupid.
quote:
I am sure you have not noticed any racism on this board.
Play your race card somewhere else.
JJ is suspended indefinitely...it wasn't racism that got him suspended, it was his own actions.
