LSU will be fine tomorrow.
I'd like to believe so as well, but we need to quit talking shite to a team that intentionally saved their big arms for the remainder of the series and it took a walk off in the 9th to win it. No doubt we are the better team, but it makes us look ignorant. I think the bats wake up and carry us to Omaha FTR

Some of the comments on that board is funny.
a loss is a loss even if you lose by 30 or 1 in the last at-bat. No-one seems to notice how bad of a loss this is for ULL. Their best chance to win the series was to win game one, sure they could win back to back games, but LSU hasn't lost back to back games this season. Last night was almost like a loss with how we played. Expect our bats to come alive.
The place sounds very confident, which is surprising I guess. Guess they don't melt like we do.

It was their best against our second best tonight. And it took a walk off home run in the bottom of the 9th. We got this.

You guys sound like delusional homers.
Yeah, sure buddy. ULL fans are talking like losing game 1 was a good thing and their ace is gonna shut us out, but I'M the one being delusional.
I never said we had the series locked up, but I'll definitely take Poche on the mound in Alex Box in a Super Regional over Leger all day.

Wow!! I only read the first page of that link but they sure do seem to think they have this series won, even down 1-0. I guess they have us right where they want us.

You guys sound like delusional homers. The guy we saw tonight doesn't have nearly the movement their Ace possesses tomorrow. Keep in mind at one point tonight they retired 17 straight batters without us mustering even a single. They ran out their number 2 tonight and Will Bacon from their bullpen. If you recall correctly we already saw Bacon at the Wally Pontiff where he went on to pitch 1.1 innings, giving up 2 hits, and 3 runs. Not exactly stellar numbers. They still have an Ace starter, their top closer, and their top two bullpen guys left. Our bats better wake up and we really need Poche to have a good outing tomorrow
Have a snickers, you turn into a cajun fan when you're hungry.

What ULL is forgetting is for the last 2 weeks this Tiger team has slept walked through the regional and the supers. Good pitching has carried the mediocre to sub par hitting. If the Tigers even remotely come out of their slump ULL could throw Randy Johnson and get their doors blown off. This team has been beaten by only themselves this year and has the talent to win even when playing subpar.

If we had a somewhat mediocre umpire, Cajuns win the game

You are right, but we also said this three years ago against Stony Brook. The snoozing offense is a bit troubling. LSU probably still wins this, but it would be nice to see the bats wake up.
Back to the celebration, Sciambra shoulda forearmed the pitcher for getting in his way between third and home. You gave up the HR and you lost, so quit dragging and your butt off the field.

A gem from that thread
That's more important than anything.

You honestly believe that ULL intentionally "sacrificed" this game to set up their pitching for the remainder of the series? Talk about delusional.

Dude broke his neck his sophomore season, worked hard, never quit, and came back to earn a DH role as a senior and is a team leader. Really is a good story. Thus the celebration. Not sure that eases the pain any, but I tried to explain it.
