I don't think you're getting the big picture
Athletes like Hill are given a hell of a lot of privilege and preference. Just the way things are.

It does matter when discussing whether or not Hill was involved prior to the clip. I have repeatedly stated the punch was a bitch move.
It could only get worse for him if we are discussing what happened before the video

Sure.....while the guy is on probation.
Kyle Anderson of the Woodlands TXwas a backup tight end.....one fight...dismissed. I am not sure he was guilty of running from behind someone that was getting up from the ground due to being engaged in a fight with someone, already.
Wouldn't really call what I saw on the video a fight. The only reason he's on probation now is because he was caught engaging in oral sex with a 14 year old. If she was 17 or 18, the most he would have gotten was a possible suspension from school. Not saying that was right either, but since this is his first violent offense ever (his first offense while at LSU), he will receive all the necessary punishment seen fit by Miles to give.
Hopefully Hill learns from this. He doesn't seem like a bad person, he just did some stupid things sometimes which is part character and part maturity, both which can be corrected if he really wants to do.

Are you sure you are a girl?
I know you know what sex you are, but you seem a lot more rational than many females I know.

Again,
Ask yourself if you want your son fighting...well, suckerpunching like that. Or if you want him being suckerpunched like that.
But I already know the answer.

Anderson was booked early Monday with second-degree battery after getting into a fight at a popular campus hangout.
"There is a standard that we insist upon with members of our football team when representing this university, our community and the state of Louisiana,'' Miles said in a statement. "When that standard isn't met some adjustments must be made.''

dumb move #1…. hang out with pieces of shite
dumb move #2… sucker punch a drunk guy in a fight
dumb move #3…. do it in LSU gear, while a member of LSU football
And do all of the above while already on Probation.

Her analysis of the fight is pretty terrible, though.
She thinks the big boy just got "laid out" with a punch he could of avoided....hahahahha
That punch was as cowardly and as low down as it gets. Both Hill and the the second punch thrower fight like scared lil punks....no respect for either.
If Hill wanted a piece of that dude, he shoulda squared up and went at it. Instead he ambushed him.

No, I wouldn't want my son to involve himself in anything like that. If my son can walk away from a situation I would advise him to do so. Don't subject yourself to someone's stupidity. You're doing that person a favor because all they're trying to do is get a rise out of you to make you do something stupid. If someone hits him first, then I would not have a problem with him defending himself. I wouldn't like the idea of him fighting, but at the same time don't get your arse beat by someone either.
I would stress to him as well that he can prevent the possibility of what could/might happen in those situations (for example at a bar) if he wasn't around them period. Of course, you can't shelter your child from everything. They have to learn themselves sometimes.
So no dstone, I would not condone sucker punching or anything remotely close to a fight from my son or anyone else for that matter, but assuming based on my comments towards the Hill situation, that I would condone these actions make you, in my opinion, an arse because I never once said I did.

My analysis of the "fight" is that it could have all been avoided if he'd just walked away. He didn't and he's paying for it now. Simple. I don't care how it started, but it ended with him in more trouble. I can watch that video 100 times and my "analysis" won't change. It was stupid and immature and I hope he learns to just rid himself of situations like that, or else the next time he will be in jail.

Dude... No way in hell sayin the nword deserves that... The second punch was terrible. What the hell are they thinking. Looks like the dude was just trying to get away.
1) Go into north BR and call someone that and see what happens. It's just the world we live in man.
2) The guy was still engaged with orange shirt guy. The fight was still going on.

In your efforts to be non-judgmental you played down the cowardly, ambush style attack.
I don't think anyone disagrees with the common sense stuff you posted in this thread.

know what's funny? you base your opinion on a video that doesn't show the whole story.
I don't care if Hill got dickwhipped in the face before this video, he's an ambassador to the university and it reflects poorly on the whole school. Actions have consequences.

while you're in the kitchen, can you get me a sandwich?
You simply seem to be placing him in such bad situations on accident. Like if the girl that he was caught with just happened to be just a bit older.....do you understand what rules are? Or just common sense/critical thinking?
You, seem to be the arse, since I never said that you condoned his actions. You're just defending a man on probation on a wobbly, if not unstable basis.
Your statements contain too many 'if's'. If you had a pair, you'd simply be a stupid man, instead of a stupid woman. So, IF, he did this or IF he did that, doesn't change what he did. Does that make sense to you?

He's correct. Adjustments must be made. However, what are those exactly? We don't know. It's all speculation at this point. It all depends on what Miles wants to do. If he's allowed to stay...fine. If's he's kicked off the team....it would suck, but I'll be okay with that too. Because at the end of the day, CLM made the decision he thought would be in the best interest of his team moving forward.
