It depends on what happens with the Judge... I think Miles keeps him out until at least the AU game.......... He may keep him out longer........

I don't know what kind of kid Hill is and I certainly made my share of mistakes growing up but what Hill did was pretty chicken shite. At least the people I fought knew they were in a fight with me. Maybe it was just one mistake but that mistake showed his character in my opinion. He needs to be taught a lesson.

Being his first violent offense, I doubt he will have to worry too much.

They only reason Miles will probably do something is the harsh reaction from some of the national media after watching the video.

Honestly, if it had been a normal fight, nothing would probably happen.

Maybe. He definitely will not miss more than a couple.

But it was the end of one. Clearly something happened prior to this clip being filmed. What exactly that was, I don't know. To what extent Hill was involved with those events, I don't know either

It doesn't matter what had happened before, it was a total bitch tpos move. He obviously lacks character.

For anyone to sit here and beat on their chest about it without knowing ALL of the facts is just as much a pussy move as Hill's punch.

Keep watching the vid and put Zach Mettenburger as the guy who is on the ground, shakily getting up and, say, AJ McCarron running from behind him in a bama tee shirt and blind-siding him.

This board would be up in arms. Quit defending the guy. He punched him from the victim's 180 degree left with a right handed haymaker.....then to only have his other friend elbow him in the back of the head.....then to do the NBA half-hug/half handshake with his guys.

Complete bullshite. Ask yourself if you want your son fighting like that...or if you want your son getting blindsided.
frick you if you think Jeremy Hill was right...or just in a fight. That was complete bullshite. And I am not trying to be a devil's advocate LSU fan either. Again, put yourself or your son in either guy's shoes.

I thought celebrating after the questionable punches was lame

The high fiving with the dude who hit the guy directly from behind was disturbing no matter what went on before.

There is no doubt that's Hill actions need Miles attention for the sake of both Hill and LSU, but, as usual, there is way to much emotional reaction taking place on the part of some.

No way. When the AU game comes around, Hill will be the starter. Any suspension will merely be for appearance.

It lacks maturity. I don't think he's a thug by any means, but he still should have walked away. Sometimes you need a wake-up call. I hope this was his. I think it's a chance he could be back on the team, but on a very very short leash.

I also don't care if A Blue does it next week then K Hilliard, and we have no backfield.

Character is what matters.

I have yet to hear anyone say that what Hill did was right. The argument seems to be over the severity of the incident and the appropriate punishment.

First violent offense. I don't see a pattern, so let's not clear the backfield yet...

Just saying it was a low character move, and I don't want anything to do with a guy punching another guy that is going after....another guy from his blindside left or right.

No character....LSU football goes on without J hill. Now that Ive seen the vid, it's sincerely pathetic.

I agree, probably fueled by alcohol. But, Miles can put rules for him into place to prevent this from happening again.

Many student athletes have questionable character. If we kicked them all off, we would be back playing club football.

It does matter when discussing whether or not Hill was involved prior to the clip. I have repeatedly stated the punch was a bitch move.

Sure.....while the guy is on probation.

Kyle Anderson of the Woodlands TXwas a backup tight end.....one fight...dismissed. I am not sure he was guilty of running from behind someone that was getting up from the ground due to being engaged in a fight with someone, already.

Correct. Hill knows now that if/when given another chance, he can't afford to do anything else. What he decides to do from here on out would greatly depend on whether he wants to stay on the team (if he's allowed to be). It's a character issue that can be corrected through maturity and making better choices.

Everyone knows that starters have different standards. If a backup brings these kinds of distractions yeah he's gone. That's the nature of major athletics. If you don't like it, find a new program.
