You don't turn your back on a fight you are engaged in and you don't walk away from that fight as if you are on a Sunday afternoon walk around your neighborhood.
We don't know anything about the fight but what we see on a 15 second cell cam clip.
There is a good reason most of us avoid bar room brawls and that reason is there are no rules of engagement.
Hill did wrong to engage in the fight, but he did put himself into the dudes field of vision.
Some act like he needed to wave a flag in the dudes face and yell out here it comes. That doesn't happen in parking lot brawls.

You're funny. Why I'm saying "if" is because I don't have a son, but "if" I did, that's exactly what I would tell him to do. In regards to the previous Hill matter, it was stupid period. He should not have done that at all. I'm not defending what he did at all. As I said, it's not left up to me what happens to him. All I'm doing now is giving my opinion of what I think might happen to him. I just hope that he can learn from this and move forward. That's all I'm saying. The reason why I was upset at what you said is the assumption you made about me condoning someone being sucker punched if you already know what's on my mind. I don't know you or anything about you, nor do you know me.
I apologize for calling you an arse but at the same time I'm trying to have a respectful and honest discussion about this. Not trying to piss anyone off, but please don't make assumptions about me, because you don't know anything about me. That's all I ask.

That strategy of attack is an ambush and it's nothing to be proud of or respected.

What I'm saying is his involvement in anything before the video was taken could only be negative for Hill.
I don't understand why everybody is so concerned with what happens prior to be footage, unless they are trying to make it worse for Hill.

Uhhh, please look at the ten second mark...
Get back to me after you see the guy, wobbly getting up, FACING ANOTHER guy that just knocked him down. He did in fact put himself in the guy's field of vision....just happens to be his peripheral vision which does not a fair fight make....especially when it's three on one, at that point.
Go watch it and ask if you'd be perfectly fine with getting blind sided like that.
Groupee, you are in fact right, NEVER turn your back on a guy you're fighting.... He didn't because he was facing the guy that just knocked him down.....not expecting a punch from ANOTHER guy on his 9 oclock.

He jumped in on a guy. A guy that didn't even appear to know he was fighting Hill. No different than me just punching some random dude, and doing that is pretty much a coward move.
The fact that he did it is almost enough to know he is a pure punk, the fact that he celebrated it is validation.
He should be put in prison for violating his parole, on the Brightside maybe in a few years we can have a post about him getting out on parole for some other sentence. Like Cecil part 2. We will be fine.
I am not a dummy, he will play, he will play pretty well, and I will be glad if he scores the winning touchdown against Bama....but he is still a punk.

The comment you're commenting about pretty much sums up that whole situation. It was stupid and pointless. Well by your definition everyone who gets into a fight is a punk. I don't call people names or refer to them as a "punk" or "thug" as some people have called him, but I have not denied that his actions were extremely stupid and should not be tolerated. That's why I said before that whatever CLM decides to do will still be okay with me because he would have done what he thought would be in the best interest of his team moving forward.

I agree. This is not the first time it's happened and unfortunately won't be the last. You would think that with camera phones and social media, these players would know not to do these things because there is always someone around ready to record you and post it online. That's when you have to be very mindful of what you do no matter where you are.

Don't waste your time. These guys know everything and will just mock you for pointing out reality. They keep acting like fights are all governed by the marquis of queensbury rules. You and I point out its common and they say Hill is some savage. No way we will agree.

Can't answer that. I don't know. You could ask the same question to other athletes who get involved in situations such as this. Sometimes people just don't think before they act. They often don't think about the consequences of their actions until it's too late.

WTF, no Hill wasn't engaged in the fight until all the heavy lifting was over. Are basically all fights stupid and pointless, yes. But this video shows him sneak up behind, pull slightly infront and shamelessly bash a guy. That wasn't a fight, fights are stupid. That was an attack, and attacks on unaware folks are the actions of punks.
