The other "aggressor" had his shirt practically ripped off. It makes you wonder what lead up to the only part you can see in the video.

I'm with you, and I am not some nitpicky ranter...
But I think that maybe it isn't the best of ideas to go to the bars dressed in athletic gear that screams "I PLAY FOOTBALL." Especially if you are drinking/have a criminal record/on probation/already the most recognized person on campus etc. It only makes you more recognizable... But what the frick do I know?

Throwing one punch in a bar fight does not make you a thug. If it did, then probably close to half of the world is thugs, myself included. It was a bit of a bitch move, but all bets are off in a bar fight. This isn't an refereed boxing match. Hill's action in that video does not come even close to deserving jail time. It was stupid, but college kids don't make great decisions when they're in Tigerland. He'll get a deserved suspension and that's end of story.
And to those shaking their heads at him doing it in an LSU shirt, so what? He plays for the football team. I would expect him to be wearing an LSU shirt, first of all. Second, if you end up in a fight, whether it's your fault or not, the last thing you're concerned with is what kind of shirt you're wearing.
