We need to give Welter 2 more games before we call him terrible. One thing is for sure, I havent seen anyone clearly step up and take his job.

We have talent at LB. Welter just plays in front of that talent.
They must be doing something wrong in practice, because I trust Chief 100%.
Beckwith has so much potential. He's a great athlete for someone his size. I really wish he'd put the pieces together. I think CG might pass him because that kid is looking like the real deal.
Kwon is clearly our best backer and will make some great plays for us this year. Louis, Feist, and Jones give us great speed as well.
These smaller, faster LBs will do better against teams like A&M than teams like Wisconsin and Alabama.

I think welter needs one more year to get better. he's got a big motor and a lot of heart. he's a young player and he will only get better.
chavis has him out on the field for a reason, and no one on this board knows more than chavis.

Then the only solution is to replace the coach that puts him in that position. He obviously has no clue. Why can you see it and he can't? Theoretically he knows more than you do, but apparently he doesn't.
You need to go to the athletic administration building and demand that Miles fire that worthless coach.

Time for you to actually watch a game and see how many times he's late on the play, takes a bad angle, or makes only one tackle as the freaking middle linebacker.
Maybe you shouldn't be so sensitive when anyone(including almost everyone in this thread) point out his subpar play.

Hey I'm not doubting you. I'm just saying that since you know more football than Chief, and since Chief is obviously doing such a lousy job, you need to be proactive and go in person and complain to Miles. Demand that Chief be fired and some one smart like you hired in his place.

No one is being sensitive to Welter. He is not physical enough at the point,doesnt shed blockers well and cant get to the edge, to name a few of his issues. Altho, he outran Martin on the end sweep.
But this was Wisconsin, who will make many ILBers look ordinary, especially with that one back of theirs, Gordon. Did they borrow him from KC?
Yes, we watched the game and all of them last yr as well and certainly Welter is not a first rounder, give u that.
