No, man. The Rant knew Riley would be good, even before this season started. Didn’t you know that?

Why? 3 of the 4 coaches in the playoffs were first timers when hired.

Nah. Pretty sure Stoops had his exit planned with Riley already. He never wouldve been truly available.

Of course people didn't know how good Riley would be, but a competent head coaching search should have at least tried to uncover potentially good coaches like Riley.

Yeah it's almost like we didn't really consider all possible candidates

You're going to compare an OC to Gruden?

To be fair, a lot of our own fans derided the idea of hiring a coordinator for his first HC job.

I would think we've all been humbled by hiring Orgeron.

It's a really weird, misguided thing for LSU to think they should only hire sitting head coaches. As if Vince Lombardi and Bill Walsh were never assistants.

You know who else was available for the right price? Everyone.

After a season long, extensive search, Mr ‘I am the search’ gave us Ed Orgeron.

It’s sad you think Riley would have left Oklahoma for LSU

As long as we are being preposterous, sure, why not?

So we're now saying LSU can't hire a COORDINATOR to be our head coach? Is that where we are now??
