Are teams going to say the Saints are 14-3, then 15-3, heading to the super bowl? Nope...they will refer to the Saints record as 13-3. Why??? Because it was their regular season record.

lol and what will people judge the Saints and Sean Payton based on? their 13-3 regular season record or how they perform in the postseason?
they definitely won't act like the playoff games are unimportant compared to the regular season

Well, in 2015 LSU actually got fricked put of a win by having the Mcneese game cancelled due to weather.

LSU went 9-3 in the regular season, this is a fact. All preseason prediction threads on this board and in the media go by regular season record because we know what the schedule is, this is also a fact. People then use 9-3 because it ties directly to the preseason predictions.

another gem from that thread. this guy is all about supporting coach O, but if he can't beat Bama @ Bama next year to go to the SECCG and make the playoffs then obviously Coach O isn't good enough to be our head coach.
asking him to win @ Bama is a perfectly reasonable requirement of the job if you wanna be good enough to be coach at LSU

It clearly states in the regular season which is exactly what the regular season record this season was, you guys are just looking for things to be insecure about
Some people like to evaluate the regular season separately from the bowl and always have, it’s not that it doesn’t count, it’s just bowls, unless you are in the playoffs can be weird. It is not unreasonable to want a better regular season next year.

its pretty asinine to place more value on evaluating how our season went based off of the Rice, Southeastern, and Louisiana Tech games than the Fiesta Bowl.
