The proof of that is located right behind the PMAC, where the school spent roughly $14 million on a new basketball practice facility, equipped with state-of-the-art locker rooms, training rooms and two practice gyms.

Highlighted for the ignoramuses who say LSU is cheap and doesnt care about hoops.

there is also tradition to consider. LSU isn't what's known as a traditional basketball power. But its 10 SEC championships, 20 NCAA tournament appearances and four Final Four trips are nothing to scoff at. The Tigers' list of all-time greats -- such as Shaquille O'Neal, Pete Maravich, Chris Jackson and Bob Pettit -- stacks up favorably with almost any program in the nation.

Fact, also something the youngsters choose to ignore

other than UK no one including UF and their two championships has a deeper longer tradition that LSU in basketball

The article is dead on!! And the last two coaching hires have been as interesting as glue drying!! No wonder the program has been in a coma. Bring us some charisma Joe!!

I've said that from the beginning.

Track, baseball, football, and basketball. It's been proven over and over, again.

Great read. Exactly why people here aren't content with middle of the road SEC type teams. We need the leader to bring us back to the top and it needs to be now.

You'd think there'd be a coach that recognizes this, like Saban did with the football program.
