No I can't relate. I wouldn't put my hands on a random person unwarranted. Especially someone in uniform.

Maybe because the mall cop was threatening to arrest DLew for celebrating.

Obj was protecting the players like a good big brother.

Well then you try and talk to the cop like a normal human being. Not slap their arse and taunt them.

yeah, you don't touch a cop on duty, used to be an automatic asswhipping, in this case though I think the dude would have been killed by the team

This guy is a loser and I can say as a former leo. I can't think of any guy I ever worked with that would have reacted the way he did.

True story I pulled over Vernel Singletons Jeep Grand Cherokee one night going 85 in a 55 with 5 LSU BB players in the vehicle. No one was drunk but they were headed to Natchez to Vernel's moms house(Vernel graduated the year before). Andre Owens was driving. I could have arrested him for wreckless operation. In no way did I want to harm the team so I let him go with a warning. They were very thankful for the warning. This dude should have just let this go.

You just typed a whole bunch of nothing. In no way is your post relevant

agree...I can't imagine ever thinking it is a good idea to hit a police officer like he did. or to give out real money to players after the game. He deserves what he is getting.

How would you idiots respond to a guy slapping your ace then dancing around in your face like "watcha gonna do?!"

If you think he's a pussy for wanting to hit him then you're a pussy who let's dudes cuck you.

Thank you.

He seems like the type of guy who would patrol bars near a military base to arrest returning 20y/o combat vets for underage drinking.

Should have been treated to a gatorade bath.

So I can slap your wife on the arse because she hasn't earned my respect? Everyone intrinsically deserves the respect to not be slapped on the arse. Beckham is a fool.

Agree. How many in this thread would slap an officer they don't know after a buddy they're with gets into a confrontation with a cop, and expect not to be arrested?
Beckham was wrong, and needs to be corrected, and shown he's not above the law. Total Arrogance on his part. If you are the cop, and your higher ups asks you to go and address the situation, what then? I wonder what ya'll would do if ya'll got slapped on the behind, if front of a locker room full of man children?

jackass and criminal are not the same thing. Better judgment from both sides was warranted.

I believe that’s called an escalation of force, there, Officer.

What an absolute idiot/bitch move to press charges.

That said, Odell seems like such an insecure little nerd constantly trying to impress people/make them think he is cool/tough.

Like, “hey look at me guys I’m a rich NFL star so I have money look I’ll even give y’all some as a joke cause that would look cool. Right??”

“Hey, this cop sucks and is being a real bitch about these cigars right? Look how cool/funny I’m about to be I’m going to give him a sports fan on the arse because I’m super cool/funny right? Right? Guys?”

Dude is a walking when keeping it real goes wrong gif.

Someone needs to fark his face and Odell’s Show onto this

Exactly!
But because he's OBJ all of his little minions are butt-hurt and will defend him. Pathetic.

You get the coach. Apologize for the order under the circumstances. Then walk in with him as he tells the team to put out the stogies. After that you congratulate the team and coach, and leave.

Or you can be Barney Fife.
You can get in right up in people's faces from the start. You threaten to arrest them in their post-NCG locker room for smoking in a no smoking area. Hell maybe with that many dangerous dudes, after the OBJ """assault""", you could probably justify drawing your weapon on them.
It's all IAW the law.

What kind of cop publicly states that "he resisted the urge to punch" someone, anyone? This guy has serious anger management issues.
