First off, I love the guy. If you need proof of that, look no further than what I wrote about him here

I know he's too much of a team player to agree with this, and I respect him for that as well.

LF lost the Heisman yesterday. More accurately, Leonard didn't lose it, but this offense and coaching staff lost it for him.

Lost in the general suckiness of yesterday's offensive performance was the fact that LF could've had his first "Heisman Moment" - that 20 dash up the middle to put the team in FG range and win the game. But nope. Nada. Zilch. Instead of a defining early-season moment, it will instead be an obscure 20 yard rush buried in the statistics.

Let's be real..if what we saw out of this offense yesterday is what we can expect for the rest of the season, LSU is lucky to win 9 or 10 games. Barring a miraculous reversal of performance, they will definitely not be winning the West or be in the playoff discussion.

If there's anything we've learned about the Heisman, it's that it's awarded to a player from a 9-3 (or worse) team about as commonly as Haley's Comet comes around.

Since LSU won't be playing for a contender, he will need to put up video game stats in order to have a shot. With this pathetic of a passing game, that's going to be tough with 9 and 10 guys in the box. I think he'll have a great season, but it will be a tall order to replicate last year's near-2000 yard effort.

I wish the best for the guy, and hope that he can leave LSU having penned his name atop a multitude of LSU and SEC records. He deserves it.

He said he don't care about the Heisman seems some of you fans want it more than him.

Did not play like a Heisman candidate yesterday. Not sure if its O-line suckage, lack of want, or just banged up.

He didn't lose it yesterday. He still put up decent numbers and if he gets on track he will be right there.

How can you be unsure of that?

LF was getting hit before he even got to the line. Our offensive line is the worst thing on this team.

And that says a lot considering Brandon Harris is our QB.

The Heisman isn't going to someone from a team with 4+ losses.

He has no shot at it regardless of the number he puts up unless LSU is in the hunt for something big like the playoffs or a NC. The heisman is stupid at how they decide who deserves it. Part of it goes by team effort and prestige certainly not MVP or best player in the country. They didn't even have the Stanford player up last year who had ridiculous numbers even better than Fournette.

Ya your still drunk if you think LF doesn't want to win the Heisman. What college kid doesn't want to win the Heisman, seriously.

He will be hard pressed to win it with our offense line. Yesterday these guys couldn't block any body! Still hope he wins it but can't how now.

Exactly. If Fournette "lost the Heisman" after a respectable week 1 with near 180 all purpose yards, that means somebody else "won' it" after week 1. So, who do these meatballs think "won it" yesterday? Nick Chubb? Watson, McCaffey, Fournette and several other players will have plenty to say about that in October...
