Agreed.

LSU's QBs throw a lot of INTs and UF catches a lot of INTs

I don't think one can say we throw a "lot" this year. About average. I think we'll see more of Lee this weekend so it's tough to say what to expect.

Outside of the one sloppy return they gave up to JJ they have excellent special teams coverage

Agreed and I think that's why ya'll kick it to Peterson and that gives him a chance to break one, not necessarily to the house but across mid-field.

quote:

They have a big deep DL, so LSU can't wear them down like they have some of their other opponents

I agree but I think we can get 150 yards rushing which is good in a night's work in my opinion for a game like this.

And the offense, except for one bad game, protects the football pretty well.

Brantley can't throw like he has been throwing against our DBs and I think he'll be under pressure most of the night.

Question, how many fumbles do you have vs. fumbles lost? I think Nevis will cause you problems.

Urban will make us beat him in the air. 7 and 8 in the box all night. Meyer knows Ridley is our best weapon. I honestly see florida winning this one somewhere in the 21-14 range

Finally some intelligent thought is being given to this game other than...Oh, Florida's gonna blow LSU's doors off!

Bama had a 170yds rushing on that big DL. That is with 103 yds passing.

Wait...........Bama had 103 yards passing?

And won 31-6?

Hmmmmmmmmm

How many yards did Florida have? I realize I could look this up but I'm guessing someone knows right off the bat.

Florida has no running game, passing is decent in spots. Can we play a complete game few penalties and no ints? If so we win by 10! Think we will

Florida had about 10 more total yards than bama did.

oddly enough, Florida had 281 yds (202 passing, and 79 rushing).

Bama had 273.

I thought it was about in that neighborhood.

Very interesting. We certainly have to play efficient, clean football and I think we are capable of that when we are a focused team. I think that's part of what the players meeting was about.

Florida ran up an down the field on BAMA, but their four trips to the red zone netted 3 points. We need to play a near perfect game to win this.

With JJ as our QB, I would have agreed with you.

This game is a statement game for both teams. Florida is getting alot of heat from their performance, although they did move the ball pretty well (somewhat similar to Penn State) against the Tide, they couldn't get it in the end zone. LSU is getting a Sh#t load of heat for the sloppy play and time management against an outmanned Vols team.

Florida has a big advantage of being at home, but if we play well and come out B slapping, that crowd has a history of getting hostile against its' own.

If LSU gets the penalties fixed, turnovers reduced, and continue improving the passing game, then we can win it. Lots of if's.

LSU always plays down to their opponent, see Tennessee game.

Nevis will be defensive player of the week again after he gets two QB sacks and a forced fumble.

LSU will limit Florida's run game to under 75 yards and passing to 200, their only threat is Demps.

LSU 20-10

My thoughts exaclty. Luckily for us, Florida has the same ifs to fix. Add to their's, get the ball snapped to the QB. Nevis is going to cause fits with the exchange.

Unless Florida repeats their mistake filled performance from last week, they're going to score more than 10 points.

I think you guys have an unrealistic view of how good that defense is.

LSU has played some of the worst offensive teams in the country.

In total offense, both UNC and Moo State are ranked higher than UF right now. Also, UThug is just two spots below UF.

So how mush worse can it be?

If JJ starts, Fla. has a sure winner. My bet is that Les starts him as He seems to have a man love for him.
