The Oline isn't good enough?? Okay if that's the problem then let's put a QB in there than can scramble and pass!! Who could that be!? I don't know maybe the #1 ("DUEL") threat QB. Emphasis on DUEL

I believe I can live with the defense. Does it make me uncomfortable? Yes. Do I think a passing team might rip us? Yes. But, I still think Chavis is got a handle on it.

The offense, however, is out of sync. I don't blame any player on this offensive team. This is all on the coaches. There is no sense in our offensive team looking so sloppy for three games. Throw statistics at me all you want, but the offense sputters badly. Even on scoring drives, the offense doesn't look smooth.

Maybe later in the season, maybe next game, but right now, no, this offense should look better than it does. Except for missing Lee's pick sixes, this team looks like last year, except maybe the running game ain't as good either.

It is what it is.

The coach who may not be named at Alabama
quote:

knows excactly what kind of team he wants. Knows what everyone needs to do to acheive his vision.
Miles seems like he doesn't know.
That is right. But it is correctable. I think it is a combination of team/staff character, work ethic, and morale. And it is something like Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer psychology. There is no pack leader. There is no sense of purpose or drive. Everybody is in it for himself. No one knows where things are going. Unbalanced pack. Unbalanced team. If Coach Miles will assert himself as team and staff pack leader and begin to develop leadership among the players on this (and every) LSU football team, I think the problems we are seeing will take care of themselves.

"Dual". The QB is not going to draw a pistol at 20 paces out in an unnamed soybean field.

Not sure the ship is sinking just yet...lets see after next week...BUT....I'm into warm and fuzzies (gay huh?) ...and this team and its chemistry and ultra conservative offensive scheme is not giving the average Tiger fan a good feeling...I'll tell ya what really baffles me is the respect in the polls!! Glad of it but I'm wondering if they are watching the same Tigers I am sometimes. I guess we shall see in the next month.

I wouldn't go that far but we have definitely sprung a leak somewhere. We better find that lead and patch it up real quick-like or it could get ugly.

i have learned that when someone says be honest what they really mean is that if you don't agree with me you are being dishonest. sorry, you can't set the honesty rules.

Miles seems to have lost all intensity! I saw Les Miles when the field goal was blocked vs Bama, but I havent seen it since.

Ding! Ding! We have a winner! The O-Line IMO couldnt keep me out of the backfield...we have GOT to run the ball better or its going to be a long season!

Look at it objectively:

How many turnovers have we had?
How many penalties?

I would put these suggestions to you: Once the coaches allowed JJ to throw the ball down the field, he looked worse.
The talent on the o-line is weaker than we're used to.
The only reason we beat Washington is that LSU was disciplined and UW was not.

I am of the opposite position of all you. The coaching staff is doing fine, all areas could use some tweaking, but I'm not prepared to do a better job. However, the talent is not panning out in some areas. If the oline is down, we look bad in all phases of the offense.
