You were wrong..flat out wrong. No JJ did not win the game for us, no he did not hit everything, made mistakes, etc. But he was way better then JL looked all season

Just because people don't think that JJ is ready to step in and be a top notch, leader QB as a true freshman, does not mean that we necessarily think that Jarrett Lee is either.

I support BOTH of these players, and feel pretty sure that they support each other as well. Why do people assume that you must love one and hate the other? They have both stepped into the glaring lights of Tiger Stadium and given their best in battle.

I thought that JJ looked good, and showed a lot of promise. I also appreciate Jarrett Lee staring down the barrel of a shotgun in Auburn and getting this team a win. ( You do realized that we COULD have lost that game, and how mucyh worse would this season look then??) As well as his contributions in the SC and Bama games. Any assumptions that Jefferson, with his limited play knowledge could have faired better in those games is just people's crazy speculation and total Bama-level delusion.

shite any time lee does anything he gets booed out the stadium i think that might affect he's confidence a tad dont you think....le is better at this point and time...no one said jj wasnt good or doesnt have a upside but he just isnt ready to lead us right now.....lee has a great upside just needs help from a good qb coach just like jefferson does so once we get someone to show them there errors we're screwed

I couldn't agree more but you have to understand that these people know more than the coaches and would be coaching LSU right now if they didn't already have jobs making more money than Miles.

LSU playcalling sucked. JJ looked more composed than the RS Freshman. Lee has had all season to become atleast an average qb and looks like a true freshman starting his first game every game. The scary part about this qb situation is you have a true freshman with limited snaps going into next year, A rs freshman that looks as rattled as a true freshman and may never regain his confidence-who is also a sitting target when he is in the backfield, a junior that can't stretch the field, two incoming freshman with no experience. If miles can't manage this situation it may get ugly for the next couple of years.

That Jefferson played as well as he did makes me question Miles and the staff even more. Clearly JJ handled the pressure better than Lee. Not saying that we'd have the same record, or better, had JJ played the whole year, but it certainly makes you wonder about Miles' comments that Jefferson was "far" from ready.

ALL he could do was run, he could not pass. How idiotic. You were wrong..flat out wrong.

JJ stats immediately after Lee's injury when Ole Miss was caught off guard:

5/7 83 TD

JJ stats after halftime when Ole Miss had time to adjust:

5/13 46 INT

Expect more of the latter before you get more of the good stuff. Same with Lee. Both have a long way to go, but I certainly don't think the people who said JJ wasn't ready were proved wrong by what JJ did on Saturday.

JJ did that without the coaches gameplanning for his strengths. He had me when he lowered his head to get the tough yards for a first down in the 4th quarter. He showed he wasn't scared to take a lick, and wasn't going to quit. I think the players on the team respect that.

I suppose you've missed the last 5 weeks when pretty much everyone has realized that the coaches have done NOTHING to gameplan toward Lee's strengths. What makes you think they'll do that for JJ. Like that over the middle crossing route into a deep zone from JJ taken the other way just like Lee. It's obvious that play isn't going anywhere.

LSUTigerz,

I reeally wonder what game you were watching yesterday. JJ is not ready. He did nothing to earn the starting spot next week. After his first drive, he did nothing. He couldn't even help get us close enough for a field goal attempt. So to think he's the savior...he's not.

The Notre Dame players must love Clausen.

JJ did ok and for the most part and I liked what I saw. I think he can do well to great in Crowton's offense. But part of that is tempered by two things: 1) what we've come to expect from JL (erratic and inconsistent) and 2) in yesterday's game he could be the hero but not the goat since we were already down 21-3.

JJ and JL could really complement one another.

Well, he was "ready" to run the handful of plays he could handle. As soon as he was figured out, which was real soon, they ate his lunch.

He has talent but no way can you say he is "ready".

JJ is better much better than Lee. The team is much better as a team when he is in there. It's time to put Lee where he should have been since the Flordia game ON THE BENCH.

His receivers didn't do him any favors either.

He may have been better than lee, but only because people like you have crushed Lee's confidence.

Yeah, that's why Lee is not playing well. Because his feelings are hurt.

Do we need Dan Hawkins in here? "It's the SEC!! Go play intramurals brother. Go play intramurals"

Lee's confidence is crushed by his own on the field issues. Its not anyone else's fault.

In part, but he has been judged unfairly by many-- with no consideration to his status or experience on the field. It is not his fault that he has been placed in this situation, and if many of you had ever managed anything, you'd understand that the interceptions is part of his lack of experience.

In management,
If you give an assignment to an employee without proper training or experience, you will get poor results...it is no different in football and yet
that's what we did.
I know, there was NO CHOICE, but do not put it on the kid's back, it is the set of circumstances.
The fact that we were forced to do it or that we want it to work, will not rush the "experience" process.

At least he can pump fake, take off running when he had to and lastly, throw the damn ball away. JL just doesn't have the mindset of a quarterback.
