I agree he will be back here even though he shouldn’t. Fat Scott is hoping someone takes Wade so he doesn’t have to check his ego

Cool. So you've gone from "McMahon is a great coach," to "We simply don't have the money to buy him out."
You are still a dumbass, but you seem to slowly be coming around to the facts that most of us have known for a while.

you don't just "hope and pray" that 7 million dollars will be there when it has to be paid out. You have to have that money committed.
2 weeks ago you said every school that signs a new coach to a contract ‘has that money committed’ when the contract is offered. Why are you now talking about having to find the money for your mediocre coach’s buyout?
Before you just makeup more numbers you think sound scary to try to convince people to want to keep your mediocre coach because you love mediocrity on your life, why don’t you explain how places like Vanderbilt, Missouri, ole miss, miss st, etc have been able to make their numbers work to have fast turnarounds in the direction of their basketball programs?
How are you so fricking stupid all the time?

Where is the money coming from for his insane buyout, hiring a better staff, and another $5-10 million to buy an elite roster?

: LSU has rabid fans for 2 sports right now
When men’s basketball puts out a good product, people are excited and go to the games , simple as that .
You think if baseball or women’s hoops were not competitive they’d have the same amount of interest as they do now ?

When you really stop and think about it, it's actually pretty impressive.

LSU is a football and Baseball school. You want a basketball team then give up one of these. It’s always been the case and even more so will be more so in today environment. Sure we’ve had some good teams made a few final fours but so has Wisconsin-Green Bay.

We lost our best player and we're the youngest team in the league. Real chance we'd be 3 wins better than we are now had Reed not gotten hurt. Our depth just isn't where we need it yet to handle losing a key starter like Reed. That's proven by the fact Trey'dez is getting any minutes in significant moments.
they can choose to be miserable

Do fans care enough about basketball to want to pony up for the buyout?
Woodward built this mess. Cut his salary.

LSU basketball in the 80s and 90s was huge. Then had a few bright spots with Brady and Wade. Have the history with Pistol Pete and Bob Petit. If we start winning it will easily rise to the second sport on campus Baseball is fun but not a major sport nationally Need to get rid of McMahon and invest in program

Men’s hoops doesn’t even exist here anymore.
Not talked about on local radio. Barely an in-game thread on TD. The PMAC is a morgue.
You need a showman head coach. That’s the fit if you want there to be interest.

LSU is paying McMahon next year whether he coaches or not. It’s a sunk cost. LSU is not “saving” anything by keeping him, and keeping him will likely lead to a decrease in revenues.
I mean, they're saving by not paying another head coach as well. The second part of your statement is true though.

McMahon's contract is a Google search away and included in the news article linked in the OP. Reading is hard.

The money for McMahon’s contract is already committed according to you, dumbass.
Where’s your Google link for this?
another $5-10 million to buy an elite roster

It sounds like the best argument for keeping McMahon has nothing to do with the continued losing. It is that we should tolerate losing because it is saving money.
Great argument!
Great argument!

This article is from May of last year and the prices are likely even higher now.

So pure speculation that doesn’t come close to totaling $10 million and doesn’t factor in the revenue sharing that’s about to start.
You are so incredibly terrible at arguing in favor of any position you take.
When are you going to stop being a bitch and address the money already being committed for your mediocre coach’s buyout?

Their excuses have absolutely no limits. They have used probably 10 different excuses for McMahon. We are nearing the end of the road though because "we should just keep him because it would be too expensive to get rid of him" is an argument pretty much admitted defeat. There is nowhere else to go from here.
