1. Players should focus on the game, not piped in music.
2. The student section is a very small (and getting smaller) portion of the stadium.
3. The season ticket holders are the majority of the stadium…..LISTEN TO WHAT THE MAJORITY OF THEM HAVE TO SAY!!!!

Can't argue that Neck sux…….BUT……..go to youtube and watch the videos (many of them) of the ENTIRE stadium going CRAZY while the band plays Neck. IT WORKS!!!!

1. Players getting fired up makes them play better. You play better football when you're hyped and your blood is boiling.
2. I've sat all over TS the past few years, including the student section. The students are the most energetic and if they're rockin, it spreads and all of TS is rockin. If they're not rocking, I've found most of the stadium isn't.
3. The season ticket holders do hold a majority, and there is a bit too much piped in music, but the atmosphere should be whatever makes the players play best.
Bring back Neck!

1. The argument for piped music because it makes the players play better is so ridiculous. As if piped in music is the only way players can get hyped. Without it, they would be subdued and bored during games. We never won anything or had an exciting atmosphere until they got a great sound system that turned Tiger Stadium into an NBA game. Thank the sound gods that players can now get excited because 4 seconds of a rap song can be played in between snaps. Got it.

They just need to give fans what they want before during and after games.
The Golden Band from Tigerland along with the visiting team band if they travel. Then give all the fans wifi access for their smart phones. Give regular updates to scores somewhere on the score board. Then everyone will be happy.

It's not that they're not excited without it, and it's not that we didn't already have a great atmosphere, but it helps. And if bluegrass music fired them up, I'd be all for blaring some banjo. That being said, GBFTL will always be an important part of TS.

But thats the whole point, it hasn't helped the players. (See #decline). And it certainly hasn't helped the fans experience. It has actually detracted from the excitement and atmosphere that WAS Tiger Stadium. I'm not calling for bluegrass, or country, or rap. Thats not the point. The point is to let Tiger Stadium be Tiger Stadium. Fire up the GBFTL and get the hell out of the way. Thats the point of the article, and it seems most fans agree.

Correct….That seems to be the main point of the article. Back off (a lot) with the piped in music/commercials and let the band play the songs that get the fans/team excited (Neck, All of the Lights, etc).

I cringe when that song plays. Often times, when that song is played, it doesn't really do much for the student section/players. Only a select few times has it really taken over the whole stadium, where majority of the fans get pumped up.

The student section gets legitimately rocking when that is playing, so if you don't like it, give your tickets up.

Serious question. How are you not embarrassed for your university when everyone gets excited about yelling STTDB? I have been to dozens of Tiger games and love the atmosphere but that adds zero. You do not need it.

I agree 100%. The (c)rap that is played at super-sonic levels annoys me to the max even though I'm watching the games on TV. It makes me never want to attend a game there in the future.
