Hope you are right. If Wade is at LSU long term that is great for LSU. LSU just needs a competent AD

I know, I know..... but if everybody stays (admin and coach) Alleva won’t go near the PMAC and communication between both parties would be nearly non-existent.

That pretty much describes all of the SEC teams save Kentucky. Not saying LSU has a great history in basketball, but what teams other than Florida whose success is relatively recent and Arkansas who had a brief run when they first joined the conference, would you put ahead of LSU?

I think you asked and answered the question:
QUESTION:

If you are capable of connecting the dots then Bedford is the coach unless the trial gets settled AND Wade wants to stay (why would he).

ANSWER:

All positions will be filled by 4/22 at the latest.

I honestly think he maintains his innocence and NCAA looks the other way since they won’t be able to find money trail. But they’ll be hot on his case from here on out. CWW claim he was talking shop with some other guys in the industry. He’ll ask people to show the proof. Which technically none has popped up. The defense who is releasing this info will need to show money trail of some sort to show he was complicit.

I hope you're right bc I like his winning ways... but knowing that NCAA will be looking to make "an example" of someone...I fear the worst.

With Alleva still breathing, the team, players, and the fans will suffer with a couple more Trent Johnson’s and Johnny jones. Go ahead Alleva, burn the bitch down like you want too.

If things go as you assume LSU will lose 10s of millions in the next couple or 3 years.

Ride it out with Wade and the monetary losses can be minimized.

The question is, are the admins' egos so large that they can't see the 10s of millions of dollars that will be lost by separating from Wade?

everything in this post is exactly backwards

Sadly I dont see Wade staying even if he is cleared and no semi decent coach will want to come coach for this joke of an administration, Mr " I am the search" will just end up promoting Benford, guaranteeing that we will be at the bottom of the sec for many years to come. Its so sad to see this happening to the program after seeing how much excitement was building around the program, Just googling Benfords name I am already seeing articles saying how can we not make Benfrod the head coach if he beats duke and msu . I dont see anyway we come out of this situation with the future looking bright

While every other team is firing and hiring their coach.

If he's clean and there are no attractive openings, don't you think he would be staying? My guess is they would kiss and make up for the following year. LSU is not eating his contract if he is clean and there is no threat of sanctions.
No program is going to approach him while this cloud hovers on him.

Idon’t Know that anyone is waiting for the 4/22 hearing. Admins know about the improper offer.
My guess is he’s fired right after LSU is finished in the Tourney, so a search can be conducted for a new coach.

If Wade for some reason goes down in this trial, there will be tons of openings all over the country because of all the other coaches that are implicated in the scandal.

This is actually smart on Wade's part because it puts LSU Administration in a bad position. Wade knows that if they don't reinstate him before the trial then LSU isn't going to be able to hire any basketball coach worth a damn and they're basically going to have to concede the entirety of next season.

This means one of three things.

1. The plan is to reinstate Wade before the court date.

2. The plan is to promote a coach from within. Probably Benford who has like a 30% win percentage as a head coach. Same situation as Ed Orgeron so it wouldn't surprise me. Expect an even bigger shitshow since Benford wouldn't be getting the keys to a Ferrari like orgeron got with the football program. He would basically be getting the keys to a Ferrari Kit Car that was half started by Will Wade. Plus, basketball is full of one-and-dones so if Benford does finish off that project and drives it around for a while it's going to be breaking down all the time and he's not going to know how to fix it.

3. LSU's Administration doesn't give a frick about sports and they are basically going to hire whoever and concede next year and maybe many years after that. Welcome to one or two wins in the SEC again every year.

Exactly. LSU and Tennessee are actually the second best basketball programs, historically, in the SEC, by the numbers. Kentucky's way ahead of everybody.

We need to quit all this stupid talk about WW coming back! He's gone and he will never coach at LSU again or anywhere else as a HC anytime soon. He's damaged goods and he has no one to blame except himself. Call me all the names you want, but sometimes the truth hurts. WW is gone and it's time to move on!
