Let me get this straight, we hold a lame duck coach till 4/22 .....

While every other team is firing and hiring their coach. Final Four is over 4/7. All positions will be filled by 4/22 at the latest.. If you are capable of connecting the dots then Bedford is the coach unless the trial gets settled AND Wade wants to stay (why would he). What candidate is available in May and why would they want to be here? Enjoy the ride this season because a black hole is coming AGAIN..

Not a lame duck coach but yes the brilliance of our admins, they are poor planners too.

Not surprised at all, just trying to wake both sides that we are coachless next season. Sucks b/c we will have a good team returning.

right, this part I understand.
what i cant understand is the strategy of the length of the suspension and when do you un-suspend him?
when do they decide to un-suspend him? how long can they leave him suspended for not talking to them? Its obvious he is not coming, so LSU has to make a move, you cant just keep pushing back the suspension.
whats the strategic play here?
all of us fans believe the suspension is because he wont talk to his bosses right? Well he is not coming, that talk is not happening. So LSU HAS to make a move.

If things go as you assume LSU will lose 10s of millions in the next couple or 3 years.
Ride it out with Wade and the monetary losses can be minimized.
The question is, are the admins' egos so large that they can't see the 10s of millions of dollars that will be lost by separating from Wade?

I say burn the admin to the ground and do whatever it takes to keep wade. Idgaf if you keep him on payroll for a year while he sits.
We are a bottom feeder SEC school with one brief stint were we were good in the 80s and early 90s.
We finally have a young Nick Saban-esque Coach. You just simply can’t let him go.

If Wade does not come back recruiting is definitely fricked up, many transfers will happen and those transfers will be back-filled with JUCO. Hello bottom of the SEC.
If the admins want to save the program and the money that comes with a successful program they better sick with Wade.

I dunno... 9 million reasons to stay maybe? Also he would be more popular and quietly powerful than coward alleva..... he could go all Bruce Pearl and refuse to speak or acknowledge the AD. If it’s a nothing burger, Wade will outlast Alleva and probably f.king for that matter. He would be a powerful warlord on campus.

What coach in their right mind would come here with the administration currently in charge?
A coaching change, should it become necessary, shouldn't be decided by the asshats currrently running the university.
