I agree. This should be the cautionary tale almost every time people start calling for a coaches head (in any sport). It may take a season or two, but I am hopeful Wade can see his shortcomings and correct them.

What, aside from blind hope, makes you think this?

Lester Earl was told by the NCAA if he did not give them dirt on LSU, he would never play college basketball, if I remember correct.
Remember Kansas was already in contact with him while he was on the LSU basketball team; which is against the rules.
This was far worse than the NCAA strong arming Tito to Miami of Florida. That is how Bob gets fired, because of what all the NCAA was telling Tito. The investigator for the NCAA gets hired by Miami and Tito ends up there, humm what was going on in the NCAA offices at the time all this was going on?

LSUDAN1 you know very little of what all is going on at the time.
Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas, Michigan would all drown with the stuff they were pulling at the time, but the NCAA was after the ones calling out the double standard at the time.
The NCAA went after them all and nailed all those they could, but lost millions in all those court cases later, Brown is the only one not to sue and he should have.
I was a scout (on the side)at the time of all these things, just say this the NCAA knew about the money Duke and Michigan were paying out too.

Shhhhh- don't tell irish. He still lives in that mystical world of rainbows and unicorns where very few colleges cheat at recruiting, and Wade is the worst of the worst.

The illegal nonsense is just that, nonsense. There’s been nothing other than media smears and I’m not sure why you guys have swallowed that hook line and sinker. I never see any threads about the alleged pay sheets with Jarrell Martin and Tim Quarterman or the football team when we currently have a recruits father engaged in exactly what Wade was accused of out in the open. As far as how long we keep Wade, it’s one bad season for a coach who’s not only exceeded expectations this far but still has a comfortable lead for alltime win% and SEC win% in program history. Now the trend has been bad and it’s heading in the wrong direction but this season has been more strategic mistakes than the program unraveling. Wade made 2 key errors in planning and that’s had a big effect on our outcome this year. So we see how he responds, he’s still young and has proven that he can do it right and win big. If he continues to be hard headed we won’t have to ask if he’s going to keep his job or not but he can just as easily turn it around by going back to the template that had so much success the past 2 seasons.

Despite his many shortcomings, if you count 2 NIT appearances, then his Tiger teams made postseason play from 1979-1993. 15 consecutive seasons.
But a Final Four with Redden/Blanton/Williams/etc. and couldn’t escape past group of 32 with Shaq, CJ, Stanley, etc.

No it doesn’t. Dale Brown’s dumb arse is responsible for that.
