Yea, we’ll rebuild is the exact and appropriate word for it. 60% of the DL listed above as recruited by Les in his last 3- 4 years never played a down or left the program. Most were recruited late in the cycle after Les whiffed on the players he was initially recruiting. The talent at defense under Les miles and the team for that matter was decimated under mikes regime the last 4 years, and anyone with eyes could see that. That’s what O inherited like it or not baws

Exactly. Just being objective about it. No spin, no troll. Have an upvote.

I know exactly what he’s doing.
He needs to keep certain names out his mouth, when in fact he is the troll and his post history exposes him.
He’s just really bad at it.

Let me get this straight, it isn't acceptable that I didn't like the O hire, but think so far O has the program trending up and I'm optimistic for a good year? Huh. Ok

I’ve been saying this all along.. Miles had too much talent and only won 1 national championship.. Quarterback mismanagement.. Being too stubborn to change the offense...Look at the Guys who are killing it in the NFL all LSU players.. All of em are prepared for the NFL but look at the way we wasted all that Talent.. We’re the Kentucky of Football.. Come to LSU stay for 3 years leave for the NFL.. Get drafted or undrafted and still make the team Because your that talented..

Hindsight is 20/20. That 2013 class looked like a great group on paper. Gilmore, Herron and Bower were all highly ranked. They, unfortunately, didn't live up to their billing. The 2014 class seemed to have some good players as well. Clark was a highly ranked player (fringe 150 overall). Unfortunately, again, Godchaux was the only guy of note.

Of the ones you listed for O only Lawrence has really done anything at LSU (unless you want to consider Key to be an Ogeron recruit instead of Miles). The others are still sitting on "potential" and don't have much, if any, more production than the "Miles players".

Could they be great? Hopefully. But it's a bit premature to definitely say O has "fixed the issue". The 2017 class did relatively little last season and no one in the 2018 class has even taken a snap.

Wow, the fricking irony. You have been absolutely throwing a hissy fit when others are doing the EXACT same thing. That was my point and you proved it better than I ever could.

Ok, I'll bite...what am I doing?

I'm exposed because I'm optimistic about the upcoming season and think O has the program moving in the right direction, even though I didn't like the hire.

In addition, while being optimistic, I still have reservations about whether he can put it all together and win big. Also that if he doesn't, he should be fired.

Boy, I tell ya..that is some sneaky troll shite there.

No Looney that's not how this works and you know it. Good players = Eaux's credit. Anything wrong = blame Miles and deflect as if the program was in shambles and ignore the fact that he was still winning 8/9 games a year.

At best it seems we could agree the program is stagnant under Eaux. I've not seen anything to suggest an elevation.

Recruiting has not improved and 9 win seasons got Miles fired. So.....I'll be expecting a big improvement in both areas this year.

Give me a fkn break dude. I'm not as stupid as you think. I'm only saying that about a few posters that have trashed O relentlessly over the months. That's it. You were one of that group too...and interestingly enough, you are jumping to the support of the biggest o bashers on the board.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Orgeron is the only reason Key chose LSU. I'll have to look it up.

And I said earlier between Key, Lawrence, and Alexander those are the most veteran of the guys Orgeron has worked with and all three have been as advertised, at least IMO.

Yeah the younger guys are unproven but those 3 have been a pretty good indicator so far and have been the cogs of the Aranda defense so far along with Devin White in the front seven.

I just like proving you wrong when you say people are negative 24/7 quoting their positive posts.

Stagnant? He has been here one full year, and improved the sec winning total to 6-2. He has a very good class so far, with some big fish still on the line. He has went out and brought in several transfers in areas where we appeared weak. The momentum is strong. Yet, you call it stagnant? Wow. You just can't do it can you, you just can't give him any credit.

Proving me wrong? Good god. I'm flat out calling them liars. You are what I thought you were. Carry on. I won't waste my time on you anymore. Troll away. It is kind of like the blackjack dealer that beats you ten hands in a row, then you win a hand and they pop off saying there...now we even. You really are a troll. Well go troll someone else.

I think expecting a tremendous improvement in recruiting and wins should be the standard. Even though Miles "really let the program slide" he was winning 9 games per year. That's what got him fired. He was only winning 9 games per year.

Now we are to praise Eaux for winning 9 and be ok with hoping we win 8??

Yea nothing wrong with this logic at all. Aim high folks. Those are the standards held by people who with championship aspirations. Certainly no agenda there.

Can you list the primary recruiters for all those dlinemen? Where the unicorn or the dude that punched glass who’s brother was on the team and got arrested in Cali or the fat dude that hasn’t played yet?

wouldn't that be my point? That LSU registered its greatest comeback in history, so that it wouldn't lose to Troy, under Miles?

Holy hell. Miles hadn't competed for the sec west since 2012, and refused to change his offense, WHILE letting certain areas on the team decline significantly. A rational man would see that lsu had some shoring up to do in certain areas of the team, in order to become a legit threat again in the west. O sppears to have done that...but ole Stephen says hey, he didn't snap his fingers and do it in year one, so he sucks. Yeah, my logic is bad, and yours is great. Jesus Christ. For the record, I don't think you are trolling, sadly.

Give him credit for what? Doing things he's getting paid to do? Yea great. Good recruiting is necessary it's not a luxury if you expect to compete. We fired a guy who was good for 9 wins a year bc he wasn't competing for championships anymore. I'm not gonna beat my chest over 9 wins and landing a few transfers who haven't proven anything.

When he wins the west I'll give him credit bc then he will have elevated the program which is what he was hired to do. It's really not that hard to understand is it???
