Some folks don’t like him, but there’s definitely something going on with him.

Here’s his presser. He flinches in pain mid sentence at 8:23. Skip to around 8:08:

Hope he’s alright.

I can understand wanting a new coach, but to not "like" Les Miles, the man, is crazy.

He is a great guy and was a great leader and representative of LSU while he was here and after he was let go.

He definitely doesn't seem like himself.

Agreed. Although there was a lot of hate towards him at the end on this board.

everyone likes him as a person and wishes him well

we just hate him as a coach just like jim mora, because he is a clueless hard headed coach that refuses to change when things arent working so thats why he got all the hate, for being stupid and hard headed to deny the obvious and make changes

now many might enjoy his lack of success elsewhere as a reaffirmation of why he needed to be removed as LSU HC

He loves LSU. I would bet there is some regret in his mind about not allowing himself to go get a real OC while he was here and adapt to the evolution of CFB. He would probably still be here had he adapted. Coaching football at any level is tough. He has to be tired.

Could be ill, could be the sting of him wondering to himself why even took that job.

Nah

He winces again at around 8:45. Doesn’t look good at all.

Man I don’t know. That was painful to watch. I was as ready as anyone to move on from the Miles era but I never disliked him as a person. He seemed to be of great character and always represented LSU well. Hopefully he’s in good health but that didn’t look good. He was really struggling to find his thoughts answering the question at 9:20 as well.

Not sure if this story is for real or not. It could be something to it. Says Miles may retire due to an illness. Some have been speculating it could be Alzheimers but that wouldn't lead him to be wincing in pain though.

We like him as a human being, a father, husband, etc. but many (especially NOW that CEO, Ensminger & Brady have shown it’s possible) are mad at the former “Mad Hatter” for not utilizing our talent on offense, and being too stubborn to change his ways & for not hiring a modern OC —- turning over the plays to him.

Great guy

Stubborn HC

Yeah that wince looked real and I'd be concerned. He has always struggled with the spoken word since I've been watching him. Whether one wants to believe it's a Columbo-like façade or not is up to each of us, but yeah that looked real.

That was hard to watch. I always liked Les Miles. He was a heck-of-a-nice-guy. Won't comment on his coaching troubles at LSU. I just hope whatever he's suffering from is fixable. I really believe given time he can turn that Kansas football program around. I really do.

Love you Les! Hang tuff buddy!
