Again - What? How about that 2-minute drill against Arkansas? Or was that Cameron who did that? Oh, that's right. All the good stuff is Cam, and all the bad stuff is Les. How silly of me.
Hoollldddd up a minute champ....many pumpers threw Mett under the fking the bus for throwing those 3 picks at OM...completely absolving Les in the process.
Now u wanna give Les all the credit for the last Arky drive????....nope nope nope....that was all Jennings do his thang.
You cant have it both ways!!

We didn't want to be there, Clemson did.
Maybe the fans didn't want to go....but the coach sure as hell better have a want to go and once more, strongly convey that sentiment down to the players.

I don't know. I only know what I felt/said. Tons of "pumpers" and "non-pumpers" threw Mett under the bus, so to speak. His poor play was a big reason we lost and I don't see how you can deny that. HOWEVER - Les is ultimately responsible for the outcomes of our games (good and bad). He deserved criticism for the loss, receieved plenty of it and shouldered the blame (as I've already said).

Not at all what I was doing. I was pointing out that some on here view every negative that happens on offense as attributed to Les and every positive is attributed to Cameron/the players. It's so stupid and childish. But, way to completely miss the point.

Again, I never EVER said Les is immune to criticism. There should be some blame on him for this game as he is the leader, even though I liked our gameplan and play-calling. Sometimes another team plays more inspired ball and beats you. Oh, and that Clemson team didn't exactly suck.

Again, I never EVER said Les is immune to criticism.
I'd say that since he likely will enter next season with a .800 winning percentage at LSU, it's fair to expect one's praise-to-criticism ratio to be roughly 4:1.

That's fine. You guys that have your head in the sand and refuse to acknowledge the poor season ending results the last three years can pretend like it didn't happen.
So does this mean you won't analyze the "poor coaching" of the 2004 team were the team played down to the competition and quit as well as played uninspired in a bowl game?

If not for having to play a Saban coached Bama team every year, we'd have one or two more SEC championships, maybe even a Natty. Even without those, Miles' tenure has been nothing short of fabulous.
If Saban stays in the pros or goes to some other conference, and if Miles doesn't shite his pants every so often with clock management, he is the greatest coach in LSU history no question.
But if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry fricking Christmas.

Not really. Pretty much everything I said is backed up by facts. The record the last three years speaks for itself. Our results have steadily declined.
People can choose to ignore it all they want, which I find hilarious in a thread all about Won Loss statistics.

Yeah I watched a team that had the capability to completely shut down a Heisman Trophy winning QB crap itself...When a team talented enough to do that consistently plays down to its competition and even loses, that shows beyond a doubt there's a problem with the coaching.
Have you ever noticed Miles record against top 10 teams? It's 14-13, now that's humiliating. He's 23-18 against top 15 teams. 37-19 against top 25. Embarrassing!
He even lost twice in a row ONCE at LSU? Probably the worst major program coach in college football.
But he is the Fastest coach in LSU history to:
10 wins (11 games)
20 wins (24 games)
30 wins (35 games)
40 wins (48 games)
50 wins (63 games)
60 wins (76 games)
70 wins (87 games)
80 wins (98 games)
90 wins (112 games)
You're right, he sucks!

The part you leave out is that you're acting like our program is in complete and utter shambles and we're completely helpless. We were RIGHT on the cusp of being in a BCS game last year (or the Natty) and went 12-0 in the regular season the year before (yes, I know we shite the bed on 1/9 - I was there).
The 3 losses this year are definitely disappointing and I've said as much. I've also said that if we don't kick arse on signing day and then we proceed to drop 3-4 games next year, it'll be time to start maybe putting some heat on Les.
We're in a damn good spot and I'm DAMN happy to be an LSU alum and fan. We have the most consistently succesful coach we've ever had. Please just try and enjoy yourself and not bring everyone down with you if you can't enjoy yourself.
Oh, and a big LOL to this:

Now there's your problem. His close wins count as losses.

The only reason people think Miles is a good coach is because his winning percentage is so high. Take that away, and there's just not much there.

No it doesn't. Since when does playing like a Yo-Yo and consistently playing down to your competition become "Crap that happens". It's crap all right. Crappy coaching.
Repeated buffonish clock management during a 2 minute drill isn't "Crap that happens". It's what happens when you have a crappy coach that can't handle the pressure of basic clock usage in a two minute drill. When's the last time you saw something like the Tennesse ending? Where only a21 year old center had enough wits about him to realize what was happening to the clock.
Being consistently unable to stop an opponent's two minute drill with enough NFL talent to make your head explode isn't crap that happens, it's crappy coaching.
Being unable to cross the 50 in a National Championship game isn't "Crap that happens". It's unprecedented and beyond belief. It's evidence your coaching staff got totally outwitted and was unable to come up with second half adjustments to get pass the 50 yard line even once.
Having an Offensive line that never shows improvement all season isn't "Crap that happens". It's crappy coaching.
Being out willed by your opponent in Tuscaloosa into quitting isn't "crap that happens". It's crappy coaching.
When you've already dropped the ball to an Ole Miss, looking awful against an awful team like Arkansas isn't "Crap that happens". It's crappy coaching.
