There is a HIGHLY vocal minority that has always wanted him fired from day 1. These types really hate when people show pride or admiration for Les. But you're right, it is quite a psychological study. So much misplaced hatred on Les that stems from him not being Saban/us not being Alabama. Most people I know IRL that hate Les are pretty much generally unhappy people.

Agreed. Hell, in our "tail-spin", you can take out 5-6 plays and we're in a BCS bowl three straight years (including 1/9). Or are we only allowed to use hypotheticals in a negative light?

That's fine. You guys that have your head in the sand and refuse to acknowledge the poor season ending results the last three years can pretend like it didn't happen.
Pretend like we not getting past the 50 in the National Championship game didn't happen. Pretend like we never even put in the QB that had got us to the National Championship when it was obvious that Jordan "kick em while they're down" Jefferson was tossing the ball right to Alabama linebackers.
Pretend like McCaron after the 2012 game didn't say after looking at game tape we knew if it came down to the 2 minute drill we were going to win.
Pretend like losing to Clemson in the Oh No We're going Back to the Atlanta Again bowl didn't happen.
Pretend like it's "just Football" we have enough talent to spank Auburn and A & M then lose to Ole Miss, Bama and look like total crap for 59 minutes against a godawful team like Arkansas. Including maybe costing Zach millions of dollars in the process cause we can't block god forsaken Arkansas defense with the game on the line.
Pretend like with the game tied at 17-17 in Tuscaloosa this year we didn't have the mental toughness to compete to the end with a team that was not more talented than we were.
Pretend like having having basically the same offensive line that showed zero improvement all year is gonna suddenly have the lights come on and be able to pass protect a totally inexperienced QB when we're breaking in all new receivers next year.
Pretend like we have a Coach that can handle the pressure of a two minute drill. Pretend like bizarre and bozo playing calling never actually happens.
Pretend like don't have as much talent as anyone in the country and have nothing to show for it the last three years except steadily worsening W-L record.
You guys enjoy the Outback Bowl, all ten of you planning to attend.
Go ahead and look forward to another Great Win Loss record and Bowl game next year too.

And obviously any sane person who looks at the big picture sees no tailspin. If they win on 1/1/14, these seniors leave LSU having gone 44-9 in their four seasons on the field. The previous four years LSU went 40-13. There's a piece of hardware I really wish we had in Baton Rouge, but there's no tailspin. Somebody should tell Penny's wife that he's being bad so he gets a timeout.

Very dissapointing game, but means little in the grand scheme of things. I liked our gameplan and play-calling, just couldn't get the job done. Not to mention - We didn't want to be there, Clemson did.

You're literally going out of your way to be negative for no reason here. Sad. There's a good chance we'll have a new OL coach next year and everyone will have another year of experience. Plus, a mobile QB can mask deficiencies in pass protection.
