Also, almost just 1 loss. See how this works? Auburn almost has 3 losses. Bama almost has 0 losses or you could say they almost have two. Georgia almost has a couple more wins.
Basically you can just spin in it any way you want to make you feel better about yourself and your generally shitty outlook on football and life in general. But the bottom line is we're 9-3.

I don't claim to know more than most. The idiotic, childish and irrational bashing of any positive statement about our program and the accompanying blind hatred of people who support Les and what he's done are what really get to me.

This isn't true...lots of "negas" have made positive comments about the "program" over the years and have given Les his due when he's accomplished significant milestones. You cant make a blanket statement like that and expect it to hold water.
And for the record, I don't hate Miles nor anyone who supports him. I simply disagree with some of his actions/policies that have cost us in the post 1/9 era....a position that apparently infuriates some.
This isn't Mother Russia where we all have to be in lockstep to be good comrades. Some people defend Miles as if hes family. Hes a highly paid football coach who is not above criticism.. that's all.
Some CLM defenders are so caustic and nasty, I would hate to think how they deal with criticism directed at themselves/family in real life. Its gotta be a real shite show to watch I'm sure.

With Auburn and Florida, their success was marred with inconsistant years and coaching changes. Their programs suffered WAYYY more than we did under the stability of Miles. Bama is the lone exception.
Many of you have no idea who good its been.
You can play this game both ways. If WVU doesn't choke barely against Pitt, LSU is out of the NC in 2007. LSU still had 1 other loss in 2010, it wasn't just to Auburn, and would've had to win the SECCG.
In 2012, yes, LSU nearly beat Bama, but LSU was a whisker away from losing to Ole Miss at home last year. They nearly lost to a 3-9 Auburn team.
In 2006, LSU would've had to beat UF twice, not guaranteed. In the end, too many variables.
LSU has had 2 shots at an NC in the past 9 years and they won one and lost the other. That's it.
UF under Meyer did as much as Miles did and he started with a worse team when taking over. He had 2 NCs in his first 4 years and was one game away from winning his 3rd.
If Auburn wins the NC this year, they'll have surpassed Miles in NC wins and tied him for conference titles with 2 different coaches and had two seasons equal to or better than Les's best two seasons.
All that said, Les is a good coach, and will likely end up very similar to Charlie Mac with the exception that he got at least one NC under his belt.
