He keeps talking like that and he won't have to worry about being on TV very long either.

Oh the irony...
YOU do this ALL THE TIME........

So, just to be clear -- you think Les Miles' conservative "strategy" was effective for beating Alabama? If so, you are the only one who holds that opinion, and the observed facts more or less discredit it. Miles was arrogant and stubborn and I'm glad he's gone.
He underperformed early and declined late. We had a great team in between but his stubbornness got in the way of capping that season off with a NC.
Stop riding Miles' D. Its over.

How did Saban BACK into the 2001 SEC CG?????
Ill hang up and listen.........
i didn't say he did.
I simply asked another poster that said mikes backed into the 2007 NCG if he had the same stance on Saban's 2001 sec title with 3 losses.
if you deem backing into the title game with 2 losses then clearly 3 losses is backing into the seccg.
if you're actually being consistent in the logic you apply to coaches.

I'm curious, how do you know it was Miles? Are you saying he was the OC as well, that he did not allow the OC to call plays?Very curious how you believe your opinion is a fact where everyone else is delusional.

He should've been a military General. Genius

He just fricking said it on national television. That's what this thread is about. Try to pay attention.

He said the strategy to beat Alabama, he didn't say he called every single play. I'm still curious to know how your opinion equals fact but everyone else's opinion is delusion.

literally never said this.

it's a good thing I've never in my life said a conservative offensive approach is how you beat Bama.

I'm glad he is gone too. should've been fired after 2015. that doesn't mean his entire tenure was some massive underachievement.

he had as many top 5 finishes as saban,Mac and Dietzel combined.
only a fricking moron that doesn't know shite about lsu would claim 2005-2011 as a underachieving.
the best coach of our generation(saban) with by far the most talent( how many straight #1 classes?) loses to an inferior team every year. so how is a lesser coach like miles losing 2 or 3 a massive underacheivement?

And yet there is a remarkably close match between that statement and the actual plays we ran against Alabama. Do the math.

Straw man. That's an argument I never made, bro. That's the second time you've posted it.

because he saw Miles coach at OSU.
he is one of those posters that lets lsu football determine his sense of self worth and how can he walk into the factory on Monday with his chest out if miles isnt winning titles?

That's what this thread is about. What are you arguing, specifically?

Should have won the NC in 2006 with the most talented team in LSU history. Lost two games we had no business losing in 2007. Declined BIG TIME in 2008-2009. Had to claw our way back with new types of players 2010-2013. Declined again after that.

Your perspective is incredibly biased because you worked for him.

holy shite.
you claim you knew Miles just got out of gundy' s way. you have no fricking idea if that's true yet youre acting as if it's a fact.

quote:What math? I'm still waiting for confirmation he called the plays. The game plan for the entire offense was that and it underperformed, are you saying our OC's were figure pieces? If so then Les Miles has 2 of the greatest offenses in LSU history as well.
And yet there is a remarkably close match between that statement and the actual plays we ran against Alabama. Do the math.

I literally met him once in passing.
have you seen me post that les miles was a great coach beyond reproach? I've literally never done it. I try to stick to facts. I don't always stick to facts though.
I have a question for you.
if what miles did at lsu is underachieving then why aren't all these better coaches winning more than Miles at their school. surely you know programs do not recruit themselves.

Yea OK. Nobody will convince you. You're so skeptical and smart.
