well we led the country in rushing yards BEFORE contact last year.
What about in the 4 games coached by Les/Cam and excluding the rest when we had solid offense. I don't remember tons of bi runs versus Wisconsin or Auburn.

allowed it like he shouldve kicked him off the team sooner? or are you saying miles was ok with the things RP was doing
Its A hard thing to get into... A sad situation indeed... Miles gave him too many chances AND I think the rest of the team saw this in 2008 and it effected how the team performed... To me its kinda like he LOST the teams trust after giving RP chance after chance.....
FACT.. The team in 2008 was pretty shitty for the talent we had... The 2009 team was better.. But not by much.... Think about what I am saying and look back to those two years....

which is a subjective opinion
No. Players getting cut or transferring is not a subjective opinion. Players who were career backups is not a subjective opinion. Those are facts.

what you consistute as not living up to is different from other people.
This is Miles' first real class (full recruiting cycle). Go through the players one-by-one. When the players who are responsible for the high class ranking never play for LSU, or get sent home from LSU, or never contribute to LSU's productivity in a meaningful way, then the ranking of the class should be questioned.
LINK
1. Al Woods - solid contributor
2. Keiland Williams - great player at LSU
3. Charles Scott - great player at LSU
4. Charles Deas - never played for LSU
5. Jai Eugene - career backup, designated towel waver
6. Jared Mitchell - solid contributor
7. Richard Dickson - great player at LSU
8. Ricky Dixon - career backup
9. Derrick Odom - attrition (discipline)
10. Chris Mitchell - career backup
11. Shomari Clemons - attrition (discipline)
12. Troy Giddens - attrition (discipline)
13. Zhamal Thomas - attrition (academics)
14. Steven Singleton - attrition (transfer)
15. Jason Teague - never played for LSU
16. Danny McCray - solid contributor
17. Pep Levingston - career backup
18. Kelvin Shepard - great player at LSU
19. Mark Snyder - attrition (injury)
20. Perry Riley - great player at LSU
21. Matt Allen - attrition (transfer)
22. Jacob O'Hair - never played for LSU
Summary:
22 total players
10 attrition/never played
4 career backups
3 solid contributors
5 great players

we had the 2nd best yards per carry number that Wisconsin gave up all year. we tried to get Harris involved very early and it fricked us.
we ran for 220 against auburn at 6.9 ypc.

Holy shite. I see his fan club is here to defend his idiocy.
This shite right here...I'd say I'm astounded but I'm not. Been here too long.
Les contributed more to cement the legend that is Saban than practically any of his coordinators save Kiffin. Maybe.

I said players not reaching potential is subjective.

The takeaway is that Miles lost nearly 50% of his first real class due to attrition. As I said before, this included every. single. offensive. lineman.
And we wonder why we sucked two years later?

you mean the class he had 1 month to get? Saban left 1 month before nsd.

so why did the great Nick Saban lose 3 games in year 5 of his tenure at lsu?
if lsu was so set for title runs why did the best coach of our generation lose 3 games prior to miles being hired?

it's not a double standard because I've never once said my stance on O is a fact.
OK why do you keep brining up that O had NOTHING to do with how GREAT LSU looked after he replaced Miles/????
YOU keep saying he sucked at Ole Miss... THAT IS fact... But this is 15 years later and after what I saw AFTER Miles was let go was very pleasing...
The FLA game was A total fail by O... Just like the UAB game was A total failure by Saban,[Which you always bring up}.... Think about where I am going here,.................

bevause it's my opinion that a 55 year old career dline coach that has never in his life had an offensive job isn't running the offense and he said ensminger was calling plays.

so winning at a worse win% than Miles entire tenure at lsu is now pleasing?
falling flat offensively against the only 2 defenses with a pulse is now pleasing to you?
you constantly harped that what we do offensively against weak teams is meaningless but now it's pleasing to you?
that would be like me saying o's win % going forward is meaningless.

Bro, your logic is so inherently flawed. No one here can help you.
Reread your last post and explain how that mind numbing babble has anything to do with a man so eaten with ego that he'd suggest the way to beat anything is by attacking what is strong.
Do you attack a weak fractured link of a chain or the massive padlock?
Genius.

I didn't defend the comment and even stated that it was dumb. try to keep up. if dumb statements mean coaches are stupid then Saban and Belichik are both stupid.

A lot of '08 and '09 woes were from the skinny class Saban left for '05.
