What you're seeing now is the difference in between when you have very talented QBs who can get you out of your own mistakes by their talent, and when you have to play sound football and not kill youself with penalties.

Such is the difference in between Jamarcus Russell and Matt Flynn and these two quarterbacks we presently have.
i thought russell was not very good until his last yr in his last half of season....i believe lee has grown and deserve to start and play

They should have lost due to poor coaching; they won due to pure talent.

I have a friend who played for both miles and saban. He says miles is a great guy, but can't hold sabans jock when it comes to coaching. He's basically a figurehead who lets his coaches run the game.
dif style, same results.....saban is the best coach in college football because he can coach defense and recruit

And I can ACCEPT this.......just hire good assistants and let them do the job.

Crowton needs to go

While compared to many you're probably right, but I think I've demonstrated that I know a shite load more than you do when it comes to how coaching can either have a positive or negative impact on a team when it comes to fundamentals. Les Miles is not doing his job, and that's plain to everyone in the CFB world. it's not just me. I just mastered the observation technique through the years I've been on this planet.

Pirateship, if you truly believe that Miles is a good gameday coach, then you are as delusional as he is. We are extremely fortunate to have won in spite of our splendid coaching. "Coach of the year"....give us a break! Just get on the Black Pearl and sail away!

I'm in a charitable mood today. Les Miles may very well be a good coach - just not at the NFL, college or high school level.

any trained eye would know that you dont win games on talent.....to many variables involved to say talent wins game...there again, another person who does not know the game

LSU gets a chance to play a team of equal talent on Sat. and you will see then, why Les is not a very good coach

even if they pull that Florida game out, it wont change how 95% of the people feel about Miles; me included.

Everybody faces adversity Pirateship, just not all of us get paid four million dollars a year to do our jobs. Where much is given, much is required.

Every coach in this country faces adversity in one way or the other, some much more than Les Miles. This is Les' opportunity to demonstrate he can work his way out of it. If he does this year, then good, but so far, he's looked pretty horrific at his job the past couple of years especially, and last Saturday was just plain disgusting of a coaching performance, so much so that he's now become an even bigger laughing stock around the nation.

You can't be serious about this. The players that UNC was missing has been well documented. MSU is a long way off from competing with LSU on talent. Tennessee had walk-ons playing significant time on Saturday.

he is working his azz off to run this team, you really have no idea what happens...look at this point.....

lsu ranked 10th

DEFENSE.....awesome.....couldnt be any better and with young kids....thanks you miles...one of the best in nation.....

SPECIAL TEAMS....awesome....couldnt better with some changes lsu has made....thank you miles...one of the best in nation.....

OFFENSE.....average but improved from 110th last yr to around what 40 something?...not where we wanna be but running game is greaT!!!! qb situation needs to improve....if lee can do job right, then miles is a genious.....it aint miles, its the qb doing what he supposed to.....very average offense....can improve greatly with jl running it....can probably be a jaugernaut with the right qb running offense......that is only problem at lsu....miles knows it and trying to fix it....

Good? Average at best. Great relative to JJ and what's been happening this year.

Versus the rest of the football world - average.
