Yes he is. Football is 3,600 seconds. Not 3,601

No, he's not. If he had one more second and they win the game, you think Les is fired the next day?

he absolutely would be the coach but he can't say one second did him in.

His conference record over the past 3+ seasons did that.

nope, that decision had been made, that was just the opportunity to pull the trigger

ETA: maybe not as astute as he was given credit for?

Are you implying that if he had one more second and LSU wins that he would have been fired Sunday? Perhaps you're not as astute as you think you are either.

as posted, it was only a matter of time, Les would have not wasted much time to give them the next opportunity

Time will heal these wounds and he's going to be an absolute legend here. You can downvote me to death, I don't care. He's going to be fondly remembered and will be completely revered. I know so many of you just long for the day that his picture will be on the jumbotron so you can boo, but the cheers will be deafening. Yes it was time. Yes I'm excited for the future. But to denigrate the guy is a little ridiculous at this point. When people on the SEC Rant say we have shitty fans, people who call themselves "fans" dogging Les Miles certainly don't speak for me. I appreciate what he did here and always will.

Les Miles brought LSU two SEC titles, a BCS title, won 77% of his games and represented your university with dignity and class for over a decade. He's gone. LSU fans should stop with the insults and trash talking directed at him. Just let it go. But then Saban's been gone almost 12 years and y'all haven't let that go so who am I kidding?

Then he should have prepared his team to be able to march 75 yards in just over two minutes with a timeout to boot. Only a Les Miles team could run out of time, and not downs, before reaching the endzone with that much time available.

I'll break it down even worse for you... He had 18 yards to go with 1:17 on the clock.

he should be, he did great work here, it was just time for a change, and he facilitated the need for the change, people wanted to tar and feather Mac and he's one of the greatest ever, still the winningest coach at LSU but people were absolutely brutal to him his last few years here, were did he retire to?

Maybe this is what has been wrong with him. He suffers from extreme dehydration.

He was just fired from one of the top jobs in all of college football, and before the halfway point no less. A man who is apparently beloved by the media being fired during the season without an off the field scandal is unprecedented, albeit completely justified. ESPN approaches him to do an interview and by all accounts he seems to genuinely miss LSU and does nothing to paint the program in a bad light during said interview, yet there are many on this board who still take issue with the man.

Only a fricking imbecile would have a problem with anything he's done since he was fired, but apparently imbeciles run rampant here.

Agree 100%. I'm excited for the future but to shite on Les makes a fan look pretty stupid at this point.

That doesn't change the fact that if he had one more second he'd be preparing for Missouri at this point, does it?

I don't understand the mindset of some posters.

The man is gone, he's been fired.

Do some of you get off by continuing to bash the guy over and over???

If you are still bitching about something Les did at LSU you have some serious problems.

all of this. Over and over. All of it.
