Six wins gets us to a bowl.

Have your expectations fallen that low?

A six win LSU will always be in a bowl.

Section 13a:
....the amount of compensation owed to COACH shall not exceed 10 million dollars.
Maybe i'm misreading it.

Belowpar and Wacotiger state that his contract most likely runs to 2014 in the Tim Brando thread below...

thanks rummel. the speculation was getting ridiculous.

It's possible he could be gone even with a bowl appearance. If we clock another game and lose embarrassingly, particularly a big one, such as Fla, Aubs or Alabama at home. Or if we go 7-6 losing the bowl game in continued sloppy fashion. I think the administration will have to make a move knowing we have Jarrett Jefferson coming back next year. I think it could realistically reach the tipping point this season. I hope not but Les is in really big trouble with the fans and media right now.

You're reading correctly, but that is from the July, 2006, contract. The amendments pushed that amount up.

It shows that Les Miles' contract ends in 2012, not 2014.
And it shows that Miles' buyout is not $18.75 million, but $7.5 million.

Not sure why you thought this needed a whole new thread but that is supposed to be a banning offense.
In any event you are still wrong.
It actually says the extension is presumptive based on wining a minimum of 8 games so unless LSU took action specifically to disallow the extension it is automatic. Therefore, 2012 + 1 for 2008 (8 wins) and 2009 (9 wins) = 2014
Any further extensions would require a new amendment to the contract.
But you knew all this from reading the other thread you just didn't want to accept it.

Okay?
Until I see an amended contract stating such, I will go with it ending in 2012.
Again, maybe there is such an amendment, but good Lord...don't you think we would've heard about it before now?
When everyone was discussing this after the Ole Miss game last year, I don't ever remember the topic of 2014 coming up.
