So if JJ starts this week will it be, "Who gives a shite? Les knew we could beat Ole Miss by 40 with TBob at QB. It doesn't mean JJ is the starter."?
Seems more and more likely that it is a permanent situation that JJ is the "starter," for all that may mean on this team.
Opinion as someone who would probably prefer Lee starting right now but doesn't mind the decision: Miles saw Lee's big flaws against Alabama and is a bit worried it will show up against Arkansas, UGA, and in the bowl game. So he is putting JJ in the position to be the #1 option for those games.

Miles is full of it and the missing a couple of classes excuse is bs. Players miss classes here and there all the time and nothing is ever done about it unless they are just flat out not going. If Lee was indeed punished for it then he should have benched him the entire game. Miles's ego is going to be the biggest opponent for LSU this season and if they don't win it all with the talent they have then Miles's ego and stubborness will be to blame for it.

Fair enough. So Miles thinks 60 yards passing and 6 points will be enough to beat Arkansas and UGA? I don't care how LSU wins. Two 6-3 wins would be fine with me. Just win.

Alabama has more talent, or at best LSU has just as much talent, and yet Miles beat them on the road. Explain that.

JJ was able to get yards and score points in 2009. If he could channel the JJ from GT that year, which doesn't seem out of the question with a good QB coach in tow now, I see no reason to think that JJ can't do enough to consistently help get 20+ points out of this offense. When not playing the best defense in college football on the road, of course.

GT was 08 season. Check the stats on that one for JJ. Turnovers, 3 rushing TDs in the first half by Scott and KW is what gave LSU the big lead. JJ actually didn't do much that game. He's had much better games, but for some reason GT is glamorized in people's minds.

The same people arguing for Jefferson are the same people who were JaMarcus Russell fans and we all know how that turned out for LSU.
I hope that I am wrong and I will eat my words for it, but a Jordan Jefferson led offense is doomed and deep down most of you know its true whether you'll admit it or not. Once a scrub, always a scrub.

Efficiency in a game that was almost a road game. But you're right, he didn't light it up, I brought it up because it wasn't his best game. If he could just channel even that efficiency level, we would be set.

Real LSU fans are fans of all the players when they wear purple and gold, not just some. Because that is what it means to be the fan of a TEAM, as in a collection of players.
When it comes to being a fan, you are just a scrub.

Well I'm not arguing for any QB. I'm just saying you are a moron for wanting to micromanage the coach.
I like both of the QBs but recognize that neither of them are exactly Drew Brees. I'll cheer for either QB that's under center.

Fantastic! So, let's bench the guy that had the offense averaging 40 and hope everything lines up so we can score 20.

he's earned the starting job. I've also been extremely critical of the way, in the past, Les has let JL drive the offense down the field and then replaced him with JJ as soon as they were within 10 yards of the endzone. I personally feel that isn't fair to JL.
Where is your indignation on behalf of the WRs who come out in goalline in favor of an extra TE? Isn't fair? For the love of good Christ. We are trying to score fricking touchdowns to win the goddamn game, not reward individuals with lolipops of our gratitude. You sound like a Democrat, but I'd bet everything I own you don't vote that way.
